COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yearly limited release - 250 kegs, 500 numbered bottles - initially only for the home market but now available for general release in supermarkets. 30 kegs were unfiltered. Different hop used for dry hopping every year.

freretoc (1935) - Besançon, FRANCE - AUG 5, 2014
Bue en bouteille de 37.5cl datée de 2014, couleur blonde trouble, belle mousse compacte et bien blanche, effervescence moyenne, au nez très floral type fleur jaune comme la jonquille, en bouche on sent la saison dupont en première bouche, mais belle continuité sur le houblon frais assez floral genre jasmin et fin de bouche amer très herbeuse, excellent !

Bottled 375ml. -from Magic Beer Room Zagreb. Slight hazy orange/golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, mild fruity hoppy nose. Fruity hoppy with notes of citrus and spices and some yeast in the background. Dry and slight spicy finish. Pretty high carbonation.

Keg @ Bridge Tap. Hazy gold with a tiny head. Nose is brilliant mandarin orange, Belgian countryside, haystack, pears. Wonderfully vibrant. Taste is deft, light. Peppered grass shavings, orange peel. Melon smoothie. Bretty dryness. Delicious. Light body, soft. Wow.

Trappist1 (646) - Diest, BELGIUM - AUG 1, 2014
2014, 375ml bottle. Grain, fresh hops in nose. Missing some punch, but taste is wel balanced, bitter and dry. Dry hopping is wel noticeable. Very summer a-like. Somehow, it does not get through to me... Unfortunately? Ok, but prefer the traditional one...

Garrold (5189) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2014
Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Hazy, dark straw colour. Bubbly, sticky, white head. Fresh, bready, and fusty yeast. Grassy, lemon hop. Taste is bone dry, and light bitter. Dry, crisp, zesty palate. A light, oily hop there, too. Finish is off dry, and light, grassy bitter. Lovely.

Bottled from Lekker Bier, 2014 version BB 03/2017, large sample, served in a trappist glass. Hazy yellow to golden color, big rocky white head. Aroma of spicy and peppery yeast, slight onion and garlic, soft hoppy, bit grassy. Soft bitterness in taste, quite dry and sparkling. Medium to high carbonation, low to medium body. Fresh hoppy version of a Saison Dupont. Good balance.

Sparkling enough with not a strong taste and aroma. I m not sure if it has some hops or maybe some bachars.not the best one in my opinion.

It’s just Saison DuPont with a bit more fruit. Except ... Saison DuPont is one of my favourite beers, so this is very very good. Cloudy straw coloured, with more frothy head than a cappuccino. Some fruity zest alongside the peppery spices on the nose, creamy mouthfeel, more citrus in the taste than regular SD, and more spice alongside the bitterness in the finish. Refreshing, tasty, great.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2014 2014 version at Hiranoya. Lots of hops, grassy, light citrus, good bite. Bit creamy further down. Refreshing. I like this. I can’t describe it. Bit of the bon voeux sweetness about it, but still light and refreshing like the original SD is. Good stuff. Just had the 2012 version and it was amazing. Cherry elements, bit boozy. Score up!

375ml bottle. Golden, slightly hazy, body with a huge lace-leaving white head. Hay, barnyard, spices and yeast.
