UPDATED: AUG 23, 2008 The standard by which all other Saison’s should be measured. Hoppy, crisp foral and amazing on tap or in the bottle. Page 398 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer and only 267 of Classic 500 Brewst to go. alkisvt (10) - seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 9, 2007
this was a little disapointing for a belgium! it was a little predictable, very simular to duval, nice color and aroma but stale! shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 8, 2007
Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a big fluffy head white head. Aroma is of spicy corriander and orange peel. Flavor is light malt with a nice bitter corriander and orange peel finish. bradmccarroll (57) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - MAR 7, 2007
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2007 From the tap, this beer has a fruity scent with hints of orange and lemon. It is quite cloudy, but a pure gold color and leaves a fine lacing around the glass. The flavor matches the smell, fruity, of oranges and lemons, with hints of spices coming through. It’s got light body with a smooth, slightly bitter finish. The Saison Dupont is a VERY drinkable beer. I highly suggest having one.

Tap at ZBF: Not biological but the original dark blond saison ale with splendid bitter aftertaste, it will quench your thirst right well. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2007
Pale, cloudy orange with big foamy head & superb lacing. Flavors of lemon, bread, and coriander overwhelmed by excessive (bitter) hops. A little out of balance to my taste. cgarvieuk (25727) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 3, 2007
pale golden orange colour with a loose foam head.sharp citrus hop aroma, full mouth feel with a little creamyness as it sparkles in mouth. rounded fruity malt. nice and complex. with a nice little sour in finish BeerFanDan17 (1122) - Brunswick, Maine, USA - MAR 2, 2007
Disappointing Ale. Most Belgian ales are rich and golden. This one was dense and bitter. I don’t expect this from a good Belgian brewery. Hints of lemon maybe, but overall bitter. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 1, 2007
A nice refreshing aroma of light fruit and spice. Hazy yellow with a large fluffy white head. Good lacing, beautiful head. Light flavors of orange, spice, light fruit, sweet malt, and sourness.
