COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

For export relabeled as "Vieille Provision".

Lovely aroma from freshly opened 75cl bottle drank over dinner. pours a pale cloudy colour not unlike a gueuze, but ith a much softer flavour, a delicate well balanced beer, very classy.

Saison exactly the way I really like. Its crisp, rather dry, a bit funky. Highly carbonated, super easy drinking, refreshing and yet has a lot of flavours. Top level.

Bottle in PI in Altrincham. Pours slightly hazy and golden in colour. Quickly disipating head leaving a small thin head. Nose is wheaty and citrus and sweet. Taste is really wheaty with quite a bitter finish.

The beer doesnt look very special. The color of the beer is a pale yellow. The beer has a slight cloudiness. Not as much as i aspected for an unfiltered beer though. On top of the beer a rough layer of white foam is formed, which collapses quickly leaving a minimal drape. The smell of the beer is nice. It has a true saison touch. I smell a nice hoppy bitterness, a bit grassy, and some sweet malts. It is simple. Its basically just simple hops and malts. There isnt much else. Simple, but nice. The same goes for the taste. It reminds me a bit of Duvel. It has the same bitter robust hop flavour. There is a nice yeasty touch to, a bit earthy. This combines with the bitter hops perfectly. A malty sweetness to balance it all and youre finished. A nice amount of gas to tingle the tongue and voila.

Bottle gushes orange/golden with lots of sediment and a large head. Aroma of fruity esters hay and malt. Taste of sweet grainy malt and a touch of yeast. Ok.
