COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

For export relabeled as "Vieille Provision".

DATE TASTED: August 25, 2013 ... GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... OCCASION: drafting while draughting--a perfect beer for a fantasy football draft!... APPEARANCE: pale, cloudy yellow heather body with a half-glass mushroom cloud of soft white head--as attractive as C.J. Spiller, my first rounder... AROMA: clean, grassy, lemony roundness with enough vanilla and citrus medley to complicate the nostrils ...PALATE: goodness, this is easy-drinking; a slightly warming finish does little to detract from the beers pleasant front-end presence and sipability...TASTE: a touch of sourness denotes the citrus presence, while the overall flavor is soft hoppy goodness, like a freshly mown lawn wafting... OVERALL: after the Dogfish Head 60 yesterday and this today, I probably could retire from summer beer drinking; as I remembered it, a refreshing, almost euphoric bottle that makes one question the need for another nights drink; enough alcohol to be significant, weak enough to be enjoyed more than once...

Orange gold pour, hazed, lots of fine suspension. Tall foaming white head, drops to fizzing ring. Light yeaty aroma, bit of hay. Taste is light on sweetness, very mild tart, herbal bitterness. Flavour, is peppery and herbal, dry, long lasting finish. Excellent saison.

Piwo metne w kolorze zlotym z obfita biala drobnopecherzykowa piana. Zarowno w aromacie jak i smaku nuty belgijskie, ziolowo z nutami trawy i drozdzy. Piwo lekkie i pijalne, wszystko pasuje co do stylu ktory nie jest dla mnie jednak jakos bardzo interesujacy.

Bottle at De Hems, pours hazy amber with a lasting fine head and funky fruity caramel aromas. Rich and funky spicy-sweet, with a soft noble bitterness.

LCI. Poured from the bottle. A nice sour saison, fresh, with malt and yeast predominatly in the taste. A real Belgian beer with real Belgian flavour.

Hay, floral and earthy spice and a hint of citrus in the nose. Complex and slightly musty. Golden to pale orange and slightly hazy looking. Huge rocky and pillow-like head that never dies down. Plenty of lacing. Slightly sweet up front, with balancing and refreshing bitterness. Some tartness. Fruity, malty, hoppy, grassy. All in balance. Medium body at first sip, the spritzy carbonation both fills the mouth and cuts the malt-sweetness. Finishes very dry, inviting you back for another sip. Aromatics linger for a long time. A supremely balanced and refreshing beer. A true classic.
