COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

For export relabeled as "Vieille Provision".

Dacrza (1023) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - AUG 25, 2013
DATE TASTED: August 25, 2013 ... GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... OCCASION: drafting while draughting--a perfect beer for a fantasy football draft!... APPEARANCE: pale, cloudy yellow heather body with a half-glass mushroom cloud of soft white head--as attractive as C.J. Spiller, my first rounder... AROMA: clean, grassy, lemony roundness with enough vanilla and citrus medley to complicate the nostrils ...PALATE: goodness, this is easy-drinking; a slightly warming finish does little to detract from the beer’s pleasant front-end presence and sipability...TASTE: a touch of sourness denotes the citrus presence, while the overall flavor is soft hoppy goodness, like a freshly mown lawn wafting... OVERALL: after the Dogfish Head 60 yesterday and this today, I probably could retire from summer beer drinking; as I remembered it, a refreshing, almost euphoric bottle that makes one question the need for another night’s drink; enough alcohol to be significant, weak enough to be enjoyed more than once...

From Oct 2005 This poured a nice cloudy light gold with a nice head that settled into a fine layer with good lacing The smell is all fruit for me...banana and apricot is what I sense. The taste is very fruity with tones of banana, apricot and a bit of yeasty malty flavour. It's my first Saison and right off the bat, I really LIKE the style! ;^) Highly recommended.

Barwa blado żółta, słomkowa z minimalnym zamgleniem. Na piwie spoczywa ogromna czapa, kremowej, białej piany. Jest trwała i fantastycznie oblepia szkło. Aromat słodowy, nieco słodki z akcentami przypominającymi stęchłe zboże i wilgotną piwnicę. w tle nuty wiejskie lekko dzikie.

Light orange, hazy. Esters from the yeast dominates the aroma, with some citrus. Taste nicely balanced wit slight sweetness st the start, then fruit and spice dominates and at the end a prolonged moderate bitterness. Excellent saison.

Can't believe I've never actually rated this one. Pours a hazy golden orange from the bottle with big fluffy white head that dissipates slowly to leave good lace. Aroma of funky farmhouse saison esters over some bready malt and light grassy hops. Taste is a bit oxidized, as most beer imported will be, but still has a lot of that goodness that makes this beer unique. The epitome of the saison style.

Color dorado, con espuma blanca y duradera. Carbonatación justa. Olor a levadura y algo parecido a especias. Poco cuerpo, pero algo aceitoso por así decirlo. El sabor es complejo, pero es similar al del champán. Final seco, no amargo. Muy curiosa y recomendable.

Optisch trüb, kein Schaum, Perlung medium. In der Nase mal Wein und mal Karamell. Im Trunk ebenso schwankend. Sehr malzig herb, fast schon schokoladig. Aber irgendwie zu schwer für ein Saison. Schwer auszumachen, aber äußerst interessant.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 25B-standard). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L16397B (BBF 11/2019). AROMA: medium citrus-like aroma with notes of oranges and lemons. medium-low malt sweetness with na almost neutral character (slightly bready). medium-low phenols (clove-like). hops not discernible. APPEARANCE: gold color and clear. medium white head with good retention. TASTE: medium citrus-like flavor like the aroma (oranges/lemons), with a soft and slightly bready-sweet malt background. medium-low phenols (clove). medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a very nice saison with all the style characteristics.

W aromacie brzoskwinia, kwoaty i stajnia. W smaku brzoskwinia, fajna delikatna kwasność, sporo slodowości.

Bottle in Seattle. 375ml. Pours with a heavy, tall white head, and dissipates to a finger of cream. Hazed, rich orange body. Heavy bread aroma, crust and nutty steam. Full, smooth sip. Hints of smoke, bread crust, sweet grassy grain, and a peppery bitterness. Carbonation is bright and lovely. Just fantastic.
