Probably the best commercial beer in Estonia, this nicely-spiced, estery, wheaty beer has a great aroma and compelling malt taste, marred only slightly by a soapy finish
[2015 Backlog] Bottle shared at the FF tasting at Pauls. Pours a hazy golden body with thin white lacing. Mouthfeel is medium to light bodied with notes of flowers, yeast, tons of clove, spice, banana and additional soft fruity tones. mice (1009) - FINLAND - AUG 7, 2016
Ihan linjakas tekele. evannell (1318) - Kraków, POLAND - JUL 19, 2016
Srednio wysycone. Trochę nudnawe piwo. phfyysik (1389) - Tartu, ESTONIA - FEB 2, 2016
Pours amber hazy with small white top. Nose is quite yeasty, a lot of honey, some sweet berry and malty notes. Taste is sweet, also honey and yeast. Can relate with some fruits. Quite too much carbonisation as Saku usually has.
I have drunk quite a lot different home made beers, but this one still feels too industrial. Sorry! minutemat (5938) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2016
500ml bottle, many thanks to my Estonian Secret Santa ’15 for my first Koduolu! Pours murky brown with frothy beige head. Aroma is yeast, banana. Taste is fluffy and sweet with banana and yeast esters, very similar to a roggenbier, with additional pear drop notes emerging. Right up my street this.

Bottle. Thanks to Vambolade. Amber body with white large long lasting white head. Aroma is fruity mostly banana with malts. Taste is also fruity but with more citrus and nice malty background. Aftertaste is mostly sweet with some sourness and low bitterness. Nice one. Gangstergafje (1225) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - SEP 20, 2015
The beer has a amber color with a reddish orange glow. The beer has a sunny glow and a sunny color. The beer is very cloudy, the cloudiness reminds of the cloudiness a witbier can have. The beer pours a normal amount of rough white foam. The bulk of the foam collapses. A thin soft drape of foam remains on top of the beer. The smell is delicious. The smell has some witbier in it as well. I smell orange zest. I also smell some lemon and lime. The aroma’s also contains bittersweet almonds. There is also banana, to top the fruit bouquet. There might also be some coriander. The smell is also filled with delicious hop aroma’s. The taste is an exact representation of the smell. There is a delicious sweet fruity aroma, with the zest, lemon, lime and banana. The coriander, almond and hop is also present in the taste. Its a delicious beer, really great. Its a shame we don’t make a beer like this in the Netherlands. jookos (6948) - FINLAND - SEP 5, 2015
Bottle. Amber hazy. Fruity, sort of hefeweizeny/bocky estery banana, fine clove on nose. Med light bodied, a bit of a steep dry finish. Weak malty, estery. Not really a koduõlu, but estery nice. Has that dull bulkness there too, unfortunately.Kauge (2064) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 28, 2015
BB 02.2016. Been meaning to try it for a while now. Pours all foam at first, it’s a bubbly, fluffy, off-white, moderately fast receding head. The body itself appears as murky translucent orange. The nose is kinda Belgian with nostril-burning esters and the not surprising bubblegum and banana notes. Strange, at points I also get a hint of dried and salted fish (vobla). Tastes really sweet, without anything to back it up - the watery palate is of no help. Malty, yeasty, watery sourish, and finishes herbal bitter. The mouthfeel is rather soft (it’s an unfiltered Saku!) and the finish kinda dry. Carbonation rather active. Best when very cool. Definitely among the best by Saku, but still weak. Would perhaps pass as an acceptable low-ABV Belgian Ale. nordic (654) - Tartu, ESTONIA - AUG 10, 2015
Dark yellow color, medium head. Aroma: yeasts, malts. Taste: sweet, a bit sour, malty. Positevely suprised. Somehow reminds belgian ales.
