2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Originally rated November 2005. This Estonian lager pours a rich yellow colour with a decent white head. Retention and lacing is lacking. Carbonation is pretty active, slow and medium sized bubbles. The nose is sweet with grain malt, but the taste is not that close (or bad for some). Bitterness, light touch of a pils, is found throughout with some corn (or grain) slowly showing in the aftertaste. Production date on back of label is written: 040805 1023253 011. Not a bad lager, well balanced between a pilsner and a pale lager.
Bottled and on tap in Tallinn, Estonia (July 2014 - record). Pours a pale and clear yellow gold with a white head. Funky aroma. Mild malt flavours, very mild honey and citrus flavours. Thin bodied. High carbonation. Mild bitterness at the backend of the palate. This is a pretty average lager. Drinkable, but only just. PilsnerDoctor32 (432) - madrid, SPAIN - APR 17, 2017

Bottle I had in my beer fridge for last year. I had to spread out all these pales I got from BOTW just to get another contry rating. Light straw gold color with a very thin white head. Lightly sweet aroma with some grassy notes. Very dry hops at the start that quickly goes to a bitter middle and a more bitter and lingering finish. It did have good carbonation still though. 500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy aroma, cautious, ephemeral citrusy hoppy overtones with a touch of orange and mandarine, some malt-spiciness. Taste is grainy, strawy, malt-spicy, minimally fruity hoppy, a touch of orange and mandarine; monotonous and quite watery. mice (1043) - FINLAND - AUG 9, 2016
Kirkas, vaaleankeltainen olut pienehköllä valkoisella vaahdolla. Tuoksu bulkkilagereista tuttu.

Together with newer Saku Originaal. Pours golden clear with medium foam. Aroma is weak, hay, grass, malts, cardboard. No difference with updated Originaal. Taste grass, sweet flowers, some syrup, malts, light bitterness. Too much carbonisation. Slightly sweeter, more skunky and carbo than newer Originaal. Not for me! kacyper (1461) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAR 29, 2016
UPDATED: MAY 6, 2016 Butelka. Aromat słodowy, lekki karton. W smaku słodowe, goryczka bardzo niska, ale coś tam skromnego się znajdzie. Ogołnie jak to lager... Nurmis (809) - Oulu, FINLAND - JAN 11, 2016
0,5l can from supermarket. Pours yellow with diminishing head. Light to medium carbonation. Aroma is the usual bulk lager one, light malty sweetness. Finish is better than most bulk lagers, with light smooth bitterness. One of the better supermarket lagers I have tasted. Vells (1938) - Rīga, LATVIA - DEC 30, 2015
“The Right Estonian Beer, which expresses the characteristics, life and dreams of Estonian men. "
I trully hope not :D Because its very flat and boring, some corny grain, earthy hops, totally nothing but water in finish. Not disaster or horror story, but.. one time try.. even for refreshing purposes in summer you can find way more decent beers.. biir (1596) - Berlin, - NOV 29, 2015
Had this a lot in Estonia, wasnt convinced of thit though it is the most notorious beer here. A mediocre Lager, rather on the sweet side. Taste of rotten wood is also common.
