Bottle. [thank you, oh6gdx]Mariusz (12077) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - OCT 2, 2014
Pours almost black with just some red edges. A big, frothy, off-white head - fine duration. Very pleasant sweet maltiness, some chocolate and roasted malts. Medium carbonation, super mouthfeel - good dryness. Flavour starts with just a tad of metal, but afterwards there are super fine roasted malts, dry hops, chocolate. Super fantastic long dry aftertaste.
Dark brown, almost black colour with small beige head. Aroma has some malts and some coffee. A light fruity. rosenbergh (11793) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 25, 2008

Bottled: Pitch black coloured. Fluffy brown head. LIght roasty and light burnt maltnotes in the nose. Some cocoa and liqourice as well. Roast, cocoa, burnt flavours. Alcohol and sweetness in the end. Very warming on the lips. Not the most excelling sample of the style, but still a quite good beer. BVery (11361) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - NOV 12, 2011
Bottle. Dark brown pour with a really nice cream colored soapy head. Aroma is dark fruit/fig and burnt sugar. Fairly dense palate for a porter. Taste is sugar/sweet, fig/raisin, and a touch of licorice. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pitch black colour. Little light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts and and bitter chocolate. Flavour is roasty, bit sweet with dark fruits, liquorice and good chocolate and then comes the strong alcoholic aftertaste. 77ships (11026) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 3, 2015
500 ml. bottle shared. Purchased @ ABC Beers. Black, patchy moldy-looking mocha head. Nose is light licorice, syrup, dash molasses, engine oil & thick honey sweetness, quite syrupy, slick, sweet in a strongly herbal way. Taste is light herbal bitterness coupled with huge herbal, slightly industrial, slick syrupy sweetness, burned herbs, light anise, black licorice, honey sweet, quite a bit of molasses. Slick, touch industrial goopy & strongly syrupy body. Herbal, licorice, anise qualities of these are potentially divisive. Overal this is a surprisingly nice industrial offering, there seem to be a few surprisingly nice Baltic Porters floating around still in that part of the world from industrialized breweries. One can do little wrong with this one, quite pleasant. Fin (10908) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 5, 2006
