COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most delightful way to enjoy Saku Porter would be in front of a fireplace or in candle light during those long and dark winter nights. This beer keeps you warm all through the coldest time of the year. Saku Porter is the ideal accompaniment to roasted meats and game. The fact that porter is also perfectly suited to light various desserts, especially those containing chocolate, may not be that commonly known. The ideal serving temperature for Saku Porter is rather high, 12–14 °C, a typical quality for dark beers. Saku Porter, a unique dark beer with strong taste, is brewed of water, caramel, light and coffee malts, hop and yeast, however, only once a year – for Christmas. Similarly to classical porters, Saku Porter is a strong (alc. 7.5 % of volume) full-bodied beer. A special jewel to Saku Porter is its high, rich, brownish foam.

Note: Originally brewed in Saku at 7.5%, moved to Aldaris and reduced to 7% in winter 2009/2010.

Ruikt zwaar zoet, naar een echte porter. In het hostel uit de fles. Appearance dus niet te zien. Goed mondgevoel en vrij lichte smaak voor de biersoort. Wel lekker!

Bottle. Caramel, plums, other dark fruit, quite smooth, half dry, medium body, low sweetness. Pretty much mediocre, I miss more dark malt notes.

W zapachu alkohol i orzechy włoskie trochę paloność. Czarne nieprzejrzyste, duża piana. W smaku: ciemny miód/ciemny karmel, skórka od ciemnego chleba, śliwka. Trochę rozgrzewa w gardle, przyjemnie. Dużo ciała ale krótki finisz. Jest ok. Piwo ciężkie i mosiężne.

[Butelka 16.04.2018] Barwa ciemno brunatna, klarowne. Piana beżowa, obfita, średnio pęcherzykowa, redukująca się do obwódki na szkle. Aromat niezbyt wyrazisty, karmel, czekolada, ciemne pieczywo. Smak słodkawy, karmel, czekolada, skórka od chleba. Niewiele tu paloności. Goryczka niska, wysycenie średnio-wysokie. Wodniste, niezbyt trafione w styl.

kokos666 (462) - Gliwice, POLAND - AUG 19, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2017 Bottle. Typical aroma of baltuc porter cherries, dark bread, reisins, dried fruit mixed with molasses from bock bier. Medium body, sweet, hard drinkable, no bitterness. Rich carbonation

Michcio (959) - Gdansk, POLAND - AUG 9, 2017
Do wypicia i zapomnienia raczej.

Pours dark with a small head. Aroma of caramel, dark malts and raisins. Acceptable. Taste is rather sweet. Caramel and dark bread. Medium body, high carbonation. It should have been called: "Light Baltic Porter".
