Drank as a draught at the source. A rather basic beer but there’s a sweet twist. Colour is reddish.

100cl on tap at Püssirohu Kelder, Tartu. Clear mahogany coloured with a dissipating tan head. Malty aroma with some spicy notes and hints of fruits and caramel. Medium sweet wirh pleasant malty flavours and a fairly light bitterness. Easy to drink and quite pleasant. Goes well with the German style food served here. Nothing spectacular, but quite nice and balanced.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2011 Tap (Püssirohu Kelder)
5 Rich caramelly aroma, some choco hints too.
3+ it’s clear where the caramel aroma comes from, this is laced with bright red caramel. Tight off-white head, fairly persistent.
5 Fairly tasty caramelly body, gently grainy behind the sugars. 3 Sweetish palate, crispened by lively carbonation.
10- Fairly rich at the start, but seems to get a bit duller and thinner as you go down the whole litre. You did order a litre, didn’t you?
