Eriti maheda maitsega filtreerimata hele õlu, mille pruulimisel on eeskujuks võetud tublimate Jaapani õllemeistrite saavutused. Traditsiooniliste riisiõllede sarnase pehme maitsega õlu sobib janu kustutama aasiapäraselt vürtsikate roogade kõrvale ja aitab pisaraid tagasi hoida, kui maki-sushi kõrvale kogemata liiga suur kogus wasabi’t keelele satub. Puhas arigato igas sõõmus.

Bottle. Pours yellow color, some lacing. Aroma of metal, grain, hops. Taste: malt, grass, metal.

MarkoNm (2933) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - JUL 23, 2014
Pours a very pale yellow color, topped with a decent white head that immediately settles down. There is a very mild aroma of malts, hard to pick up. The taste is very watery, sweet without any real bitterness. Drinkable, but not much to the taste really. Very bland.

Beerhunter111 (22508) - P´Castle, GERMANY - JUL 18, 2014
Leicht trübes strohgelbes Bier mit wenig Schaum. Geruch leicht fruchtig malzig, Citrus. Geschmack fruchtig malzig, leicht trocken, leicht bananig, leichte Citrusaromen. Ungewöhnliches Lager das ganz gut ist!

Moebbels (817) - FINLAND - APR 20, 2014
A very pale yellow body with a quickly disappearing white head. Nose has hay, some hops and a little pale malts. Taste is lightly dry but has a fairly sweet note beside it, the finish is dry but leaves a sweet feeling on the palate.Carbonation and mouthfeel are medium. This is drinkable but overly sweet for the style.

Bottle. Pale yellow color, sweet aroma. Taste was sweet and corny, watery. Not so impressive.

jinroh (2276) - ESTONIA - DEC 19, 2013
500 ml bottle. Pours very pale, almost white, a bit hazy with lively carbonation. To be honest, does not look very appetising - and I have never seen such colour in Japanese or in any other Asian beer. Aroma is faintly sweet, something synthetic, rubber. Taste… almost not there. Very watery, sweet and short, only some carbonation attacking the tongue, one mint candy diluted in 10 litters of water. Again - if this pretends to represent "Japanese style", then I burst out laughing loud, bitterly - I have never tasted anything as bad as this in Japan. Korean major industrial brands are pretty bad - but even they cannot be compared with this one. Totally underwhelming performance from Saku. This should be a drain pour...

Bottled. Slightly hazy yellow colour with not too much head. Aroma is grains, some mild rubbery and herbal notes along with a bit strange sweetness to it. Flavour is grainy, floral, some mild rubbery and strange sweetish thin notes. Rather thin palate as well.

Bottled 500ml (BB 06/2014)
Thanks Kairit! Pale yellow color is a bit hazy, small white head. Sweetish aroma has rice and rubber, slightly grainy. Light bodied. Light palate. Flavor is corn-like sweet maltyness, some citrus. Kind of refreshing although quite bulkish.

50 bottle from Rimi Hüpermarket, Tallinn. Pours very pale yellow (fairly hazy if the sediments are poured in). Not much head to speak of neither much aroma. Lightly fruity with hints of yeast. Sweet, watery and pretty flavourless. Drinkable, but boring.

500ml bottle (Solaris, Tallinn)
OMFG, this is the most horrifically pale beer I’ve seen, it’s offensive to my eye. A little bit of a haze, but the head’s very brief. Sweetish, possibly citrussy, aroma, weak and watery. Retronasals are the same citrussy sweet nonsense, but it again comes over as very watery. Crisp palate, watery, super watery. Very neutral, and clean, and not corny unlike some cheaper pale adjunct lagers. Sweeter, a little bit fuller, and less crisp, than a typical filtered lager, being unfiltered has made quite a difference. I think this is a fairly accurately created immitation of an eastern, warm climate, unfiltered rice-lager. As such, the brewer has actually done a pretty good job. However, he’s created a beer style I really don’t like, hence the very low numbers. Overall, I have to give him some credit though for chosing an unusual target, hitting it square on, and doing it without any brewing flaws. Very clean - certainly uncontaminated by anything pretending to flavour.
