GBBF Day 3. Clear gold beer, little white head. Light palate, a little fine carbonation. Whisper of sulphur, nothing serious. Light pale malt, very slightly sweet. Mellow marmalade hops. Touch of floral lemon. Semi dry finish. Solid.

From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity, toasted malty. Bitter, toffee and caramelish to fruity malty. Bitter and dry herbal. Smooth and lingering fruity into the finish. Smooth.

berkshirejohn (6499) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2009
Cask at the British Lion, Folkestone. Gold with a thin, dense, off-white head; sour fruit and apple flavours and a peppery bitterness to finish. Not very exciting.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 08. Copper colour, clear with disappearing head. Quite a nice bitter. Decent earthyness. Good balance. Good fruit. Nice. Not wonderful, but decent bitter.

DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2008
Cask in Blackfriers. Aroma is citrus and grassy off the hops, perhaps honey and biscuity pale malts. Taste is balanced again some honey sweetness and the hop character is good. Very drinkable stuff.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at the Bricklayers.
Copper coloured, maybe lacking a little condition. Nice earthy malt aroma with a bit of caramel. Hops come through in the flavour giving a bitter finish. So so.
