Bottle. Pours clear golden (lot of bubbles) with small fluffy head. Aroma: typical macrolager, old stayed hay, wet paper, malty, Taste: malty, metallic, paper, weak honey- rather bad. Thin body. Metallic-dry. paper finish. Not for me.

hauxe (937) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - FEB 12, 2017
Served in a bottle, so difficult to assess the aroma. Hints of sweet malt and lemon. The color is clear gold. Goes down easy with a body that feels lightly syrupy and a tastes that is lightly sweet, veering into a watery finish. Gets boring quick.

rostetti (385) - Oulu, FINLAND - JUN 11, 2016
Smell and taste are grainy, malty, sweet and very fresh. Perfect beer for hot summer day, but not for enjoying.

mkel07 (6385) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAY 16, 2016
Bottle from Copper & Oak Liquor Merchants 160516. Very thin and watery in the mouth with next to no flavour. Golden straw colour with a fluffy head to start with but the head quickly disappears. Not a beer that I can get overly excited about.

Det er med nogen spændning jeg prøver en øl med spansk navn og er brygget i Paderborn....... Let i smag, let syrlig, næsten ingen humle. Kan drikkes, men ikke det store sus.

Mexican inspired lagers brewed in Germany! Why is that? Who is the main audience? And why do people break the proud German brewing traditions in favor of Mexican beer? The answers I get probably never. Salitos have faint hint of hops in the aroma. The taste is slightly malty and has a watery aftertaste that is conspicuous by almost total absence of hop bitterness. Now I think that the audience is in place! It is simply brewed for people who do not like beer, and especially can not stand hops. But why they have chosen to give it a Mexican touch? I simply do not understand, because if you are craving for Mexican beers then buy instead the real thing. They can be purchased almost everywhere. Buy however Sol instead, it is in fact just as boring as Salitos, but genuine Mexican.

Pours a clear sunny yellow color, topped with a medium sized but quickly settling white frothy head. Grainy aroma, skunky and metallic. Taste is similar. Some sweetness in teh start, metallic body with therefore a bit unpleasant bittery finish. Poor beer.
