On tap at the brewpub thia came a rich amber color with small off-white head and light lacing. The nose is of caramel malts with some hints of nuts and floral hops. Medium mouthfeel and body. The flavor is well balanced between the malts and hops, and the nuttiness adds a little zip to the finish which is generally dry and bitter. Amber is not my favorite style but maybe the touch of brown adds some character as I found this quite enjoyable and drinkable. jake65 (3982) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - NOV 11, 2009
Tap at brewpub. Brownish amber pour with a nice sandy head. Nose is roasty, but not real intense. Some light nuts. Lots more roasty notes in the taste with a real mild hop presence. Just the faintest of florals. douglas88 (9569) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 13, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark amber color with a medium white head. The aroma and flavor are basically earthy toasted malts and caramel. Pretty easygoing and a OK amber ale.
