Bottle at RBSG grand tasting, courtesy of Hayduke. Hazy amber pour, small but tight beige head. Nutty aroma, malts, brown bread. Taste is also kind of nutty, some caramel, pumpernickel, burnt toast. Hops come in at the finish for some light citrus. jake65 (3978) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - JUL 30, 2017
Bottle at RBSG. Amber color with a small white head. Aroma is mostly malts with a very sweet sense. Toffee perhaps? Tastes malty, but sort of concentrated and extract like. Not much other flavors aside from sweet and boarderline earthy. pinkzambia (2051) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 7, 2015
Tap @ brewpub: This is a tasty and quite nutty. Gives some solid competition to Rogue’s hazelnut nectar. IndianaRed (4869) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 27, 2015
On Tap hazy deep amber with a small light tan head. Rather sharp bold IBU bite brown ale. Plenty of maltness and a good bite at the end. BuckeyeBoy (8173) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 10, 2014
On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a opaque amber topped with a nice tan head. Nose nutty roast a touch of coffee and a little hop. Taste is as the nose with some robustness and a bitter grapefruit citrus on the end.

Tasted on tap. A distinctly nutty aroma with almond/hazelnut prevalent. Taste very balanced, with nutty malt and lightly citrus hop notes. Though this beer has a sweet aroma, it doesn’t taste sweet. A very well done brown ale. hayduke (5600) - Eureka, California, USA - JUL 20, 2012
On draft a the Salmon River Brewery in McCall, ID this came in the glass a rich amber brown color with an off white head and very rich lacing rings. The nose is as the name implies very nutty, with lots of caramel hops and some floral hops. The body is medium and the mouthfeel is smooth and clean . The flavor is dominated by the nut flavor. The finish is a blend of biter and nuts. A really nice beer and I like it better than Rogue Nut Brown. Quite an achievement.
