Keg at the West End, Leicester as Salopian Red Mist. Dark amber, hazy. A light off-white head floats on top. Earth, musty malt loaf, some sweat, some vinegar in the intense and uncompromising aroma. Sweet taste with fruit notes brightening the malt flavours. Bitter hop comes in for the latter half of the sip, leaving a drier finish. Heavy carbonation. Pretty good if a bit odd.

Keg at Beerdock Leek. A hazy reddish brown colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of spiced toast, bready malts, some orange, grapefruit, pine and slight red fruits. Taste of spiced toast, bready malts, some red fruits, grapefruit, slight pine, a little orange, a hint of plum and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A dry, spicy fruit bitterness in the finish. My kind of IPA, enough bitterness from the hops used and rich and spicy malts and slight sweet autumn fruits. Very good.

Keg at Brewdog SB as ’Red Mist’, collab with Salopian. Black with a red hue, small foamy tan head. Aroma is astringent, lemon, pithy citrus. Body is medium, tingly carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste is toffee malts, chalky and floral hops, sweet with a grassy finish. Decent.

Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Keg. Very dark amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light and crisp. Thin dark malts that give more dark flavour than the appearance would suggest. Good spicy pine hops with mild marmalade. Light crisp dry finish. Spicy pine linger. Good stuff, very drinkable.

Keg at BD Shoreditch, Collab Fest 2015, London. It pours a clean brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is crispy with notes of citrus, grassy hops and zesty citrus. Taste is similarly crispy and lightly tangy and dry in the finish, with more notes of citrus peel and grass. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, quite tasty

Keg at Brewdog Shoreditch during the Collabfeat 2015. Reddy caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting sticky cream coloured head. Aroma is pollen, tropical hop, spicy hop and a little mango. Flavour is composed of nutty base grains, rye, tangy orange, mango, spicy. Palate is frothy, grainy, tangy fruit. Little dank quality to this. Good stuff.

The taste is bitter, juicy, earthy, vinous, red grape, burnt toast, red berry and spice with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent enough.
