ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2017
Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Extremely dark with a creamy off-white head. Has mostly understated dark malts, with a hint of roasted in its nose. Crisp and relatively smooth drinking.

DruncanVeasey (8283) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2016
Fresh on. Who knows where or when? January 2016. Ruby with a thick bone collar. Mocha aroma. Fine sifted milk chocolate mocha and carob finishing with an ashy linger. Some raisiny dried fruit. Slick, soft and full with soapy subtle hop and roasted nuts. Slightly luxurious in feel. Good.

The_Osprey (9120) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2016
Cask at Posada, Wolverhampton. As ’Salopian Choir Porter’. Black with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma is fruity, molasses, pine and raisin. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is dense breads, nutty, floral, coffee, salt, grassy finish. A tasty hoppy porter.

purpledragons (60) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2015
On cask at The Three Fishes in Shrewsbury. Deep red in colour with cream frothy head. Malty and fruity on the nose. Slightly cheesy, sweaty and hints of red wine and pork sausage on the palate. Weird!

BlackHaddock (7672) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2015
Cask half-pint, hand-pulled in The Station, Oakengates Shropshire. Obviously re-brewed for winter 2015. Ruby body with a mahogany look and teak finish: on top a full, lasting, smooth off-white blanket of foam. Malty, semi-sweet and mild in nature. Easy drinking with light chocolate flavours oozing out in the finish.

Svesse (8777) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 8, 2011
(Gravicask at Old Fountain, Old Street, London, 25 Nov 2010) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, coffee and dark fruit. Roasted, malty taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark bread and dried fruit. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness and a balanced coffee bitterness. Very nice porter.

Leighton (22301) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2010
Gravity cask at the Old Fountain. Pours amber-brown with a bubbly, beige head. Hard, roasted malts in the aroma with notes of mocha. Rich flavor, lightly sweet, with cocoa, bark, burned coffee grounds, and roasty bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine to average carbonation. Finishes very dry and roasty, with further hard, lightly mineral maltiness. Very good.

imdownthepub (15325) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 5, 2008
Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Very dark brown towards black with beige head. Significantly better than the Yo Ho Tokyo Black, tried on the same night, this is flavourful, chocolate malty, slight smoky, heavy and bitter with coffee husk and hazelnut. There is also a sweet dark cherry lingering in there. A little Bobby Dazzler in my book.

Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft - flat. (190108)
