Aroma: Light malty, light roasted, light smoke.
Appearance: Black color. Minimal, light brown head.
Taste: Light sweet, roasted malt.
Palate: Light body. Dry finish.
Overall: Nice malty porter.
Deep dark brown, nearly black, with a thin light beige head. Nutty chocolaty English aroma. Crisp and medium flavor with a lot of bitter cocoa and roasted black biscuit malt. Lots of roast. Aftertaste has a bit of bittersweet dark chocolate and a touch of coffee. The middle also has a certain mineraliness you usually find in English ales. retinadoc (236) - - JUL 1, 2015
Bottle. Deceptively hoppy/beer aroma, but delightful sweet porter. Very flavorful with light chocolate and malt flavors. Just goes to show you don’t have to follow the current trend of mega ABV to create a very satisfying, tasty beer. SSSteve (4006) - - MAY 31, 2015
bottle. clear brown with a large, creamy, tan head. nutty caramel aroma. lots of caramel, toast, nuts, milk chocolate, cola flavors. a hint of ash and tobacco. no hops left. not really as vinuous as it claims. mansquito (6438) - Nueva York, New York, USA - MAY 10, 2015
The sampler, brooklyn bottle: pour blackish with a beige head. Aroma is lihhtly roasted malt with hints of chocolate and more malt and more. Taste is, as others noted, all over the place. Not really roasty. Not really chocolatey. Not really coffee. Not really fruity. Kind of minerally. Not bad.

Pours deep amber-brown from 12 oz. Malty aroma, some caramel and plums. Toasty flavor, vinous, with bitter finish. Full bodied low carbonation. Good beer, a bit of mish mash with no defining characteristics, but overall drinkable. BunchABeer (30) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 22, 2015
Pours a very dark brown with red highlights and a large off-white head. Aroma has some mild roastiness, mild chocolate, and a bit of fruit. Taste is similar-- some roastiness, some chocolate and fruit. Thin bodied and somewhat watery. Kevin (2199) - Montana, USA - APR 2, 2015
bottle from Sloth. dark brown body looks like the water when cleaning the nozzles on coke dispenser. lasting khaki head. slightly dusty nose with a bit of white pepper and very light toffee. thin body with a watered down marshmallow flavor and some light caramel. seems like it is just a bit past, but still enjoyable. Smell of licorice, tar. Very dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of tar, rubber, roasted malt. Bitter, soft and plentiful carbon. panzerwolf (353) - FINLAND - FEB 7, 2015
Creamy texture, a full-bodied, dark taste of malts, chocolate and coffee. A little bit roasted, very much enjoyed this one. Smooth to drink but not without some character to it.
