Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.

Colour: Straw
Style: The intention of the hop character is to be pronounced but not all encompassing, dry but not overtly bitter and a tiny hint of sweetness to add body. Its one of the most expensive of the Salopian beers to brew as it relies heavily on expensive hops from the US.
History: The creation of Oracle came about because of the employment of a new member of staff and a trip to a local pub. Jake Douglas joined the brewery in early 2008 having spent a decade at a brewery synonymous with hoppy beers; a promise was made early on to brew a beer to his taste. The trip to the pub was to try a beer of this style. The ambition was to create a balanced low gravity golden beer with a striking hop character. After a period of test brews Oracle was born.

Bottle from minutemat as part of European Local swap, many thanks. Orange golden color with thick white head. Nice citrus hoppy aroma with oranges, tangerines, pines. Nice citrus hoppy taste with oranges, tangerines, together with solid caramel malty backbone. Long fruity, hoppy bitter finish. Very good.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2016 Cask at The Fountain, Leek. A clear straw colour with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, peach, grapefruit, subtle biscuit and floral hops. Taste of lemon, peach, some orange, some melon, slight grapefruit, subtle biscuit and floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A soft, floral hop bitterness in the finish. Quite a simple golden ale overall but I can tell this is so well made and it’s really sessionable. Great citrusy flavours, nice.

[email protected] Light golden, sort of pee- coloured. Pale malts, cotrys, green yellow berries. Light refreshing body. Good bitters, reslly hoppy citrus flavour. But oh so refreshing. It is well bittered, but otherwise could drink liters of it, as a pineapple juice substitute.
