Cask at the Friendship, Fallowfield. Very dark brown with a thick tan head leaving good lacing. Very little, if any, aroma. Not much in the way of flavour, either, some caramel and a little roast malt. Too sweet in the finish. Very uninspired.

Cask at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon in Nov 2017 - Dark reddish brown in colour. Good creamy tan head. Excellent lacing. Malty; roasty/burnt malts, coffee, chocolate notes. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Hoppy; moderate hop bitterness. Burnt malts dominate. Bitter burnt malty and citrus fruity hoppy throughout. Not a BIPA fan, but this was OK. Not bad. Fra cask på Crosse Keys, London 11 Okt 17. Ultramørk amber. Filmskum med litt farge. Forsiktig aroma av røstet malt. Smaken har preg av skogsbær. Behagelig tørr fruktig ettersmak. Offramp (3) - , Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2017 does not count
Very dark IPA with a strong cream coloured head. Good lacing. Tastes rather like strong Coca Cola with alcohol and a dash of espresso. Very drinkable. The_Osprey (9721) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2017
Cask handpull at Hamilton Hall London as Saltaire Cascadian Black. Almost black with the slightest red hue and a foamy light brown head that is pock-marked and a little scummy. Full lacing. Aroma is airy, light Pepsi. Body is smooth with soft to tingly carbonation. Taste is a little chewy sweet up front, cola cube and Frosties sweets, little background grassy resin hop. Tangy with cocktail bitters in cola. It's ok but not the nicest CDA I've had by any means. (5-3-5-4-13=3.0)

Handpump at Euston Tap in London. Black pour with brownish highlights, ivory tick foam. Nose: American fresh hoppy notes, roast very far away. Mouth: sweet easy start, a bit roast but not unpleasant, fruity finish. Lovely!

Cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Pours clear dark ruby brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of light chocolate orange. Taste is light bitter, faint roast. Thin finish. AshtonMcCobb (7029) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 7, 2016
On cask at the Stockbridge Tap.
Appearance - close to opaque black with a decent head.
Nose - liquorice and charcoal.
Taste - more liquorice. Imagining some dark fruits.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - more of a light dry stout than a black ipa. nihtila (4007) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 7, 2016
