Cask at the Euston Tap - 10/04/12.
Amber/red in colour with a decent sized beige head.
Sweet malt nose.
Tastes of caramel malt, fruit and a little hop.
Medium bodied with a dry finish. DnAuK (112) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2012
American style red ale with a little too much roasted malt and little too few hops in to be great. A few more of each and we'd have Cascadian Black. Which is good...

On tap at the Euston Tap. Clear dark red - amber beer. Thin white head. Light dry smooth palate, semi dry. Sweetish red berry fruits! Which is fine except there ain’t much else going on - could almost pass for a fruit beer. Odd! Semi dry finish. Drinkable.
Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in September 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale ruby red in colour with a thick buff head. Smooth roast grain notes long in the nose. Thin but creamy texture to the mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit base with sweet toffee and redcurrant flavours in the mouth. Earthy notes present in the bitter hop prickle aftertaste. Finish is slightly malty with tart redcurrant fruit and cask woody notes still there in the mouth. A decent session bitter. (Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 22 July 2011) Dark red colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with red fruit, caramel and orange peel. Malty taste with notes of caramel, red fruit, orange peel and a balanced bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with some caramel sweetness. Quite nice.

From cask at Cloisters. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small off-white head. Caramel, a bit of chocolate and mild roasted malt aroma. Smooth malty flavoured with a dry roasted caramel note. Light breadish finish yet with a distinct bitterness coming through. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2008
Cask conditioned - handpump - JDW Northampton An amber coloured beer with a thick white head. The aroma is hard to find, but the taste has Everton toffee, licquorice and late fruit. It’s OK but nowt special.
