courtesy of Toni Flkiger - cloudy orange colour, little irregular foam; aroma of fruity hops (orange marmelade, citrus) and gingerbread; respectable malt body and with a fair bitterness; quite dry and logn fruity hoppy finish - straightforward and very interesting

In bottle, thanks to Kieran in Wellington. Lovely golden colour. Moderate hop aroma. More body than I expected, which was nice. Excellent bitter orange marmalade character. Refreshing, pleasing.

Bottle from ASDA, Shipley. Quality bitter - pours light amber with small diminishing white head, brisk hoppy aroma. Flavour starts malty with a little toastiness, giving ways to typical Goldings hop flavours. Aromatic and smooth on the palate, finish dry, hoppy and lingering. Not bad at all.

Bottle conditioned, 500ml. From Taste Buds, Adderbury, Oxon. Gold, hazed with slight head. Quite a sharp, lemony, orange flavoured beer, hoppy with touches of doughy yeast. Light, almost insignificant malt, a touch of grain. Its fine without reaching the heights.

Tasted 02/11/2007. 500ml bottle from Regional Wines. Pours a brilliant pale gold with a soft white head. Rich but clean aroma of cookie dough and caramel pervades at first, followed by a dusty floral hop notes with hints of old oranges. Im surprised intensity of the Vienna malt - it really sticks out. Slick through the mouth, a combination of the torrified wheat, dough-like Vienna and big oil hoppy flavour. Big bitterness, lingering, very enjoyable, with more of the bitter orange character and a touch of unwanted grainy astringency. Extra points, without doubt, for the fantastic descriptive labels. A nice bitter, well-travelled.

Pours a crystal clear light gold with a tight fluffy white head. Exceptional sweet toffee aroma with a hint of mineraly character, interestingly earthy citric hops only seem to appear as the beer warms. On the palate there is heaps of sweet malty toffee, hints of nuts and earthy hop ending in a satisfyingly bitter finish. Awesome beer not nearly as hop driven as the name would suggest but a top pint.

Bottled: Light hazy, giolden color. Aroma withe grapefruit and yeast. Hoppy flavor, citrus and aroma hop notes. Finish is dry, bitter and light herbal. Citrus peel. Long end. Astringent. Crisp and hoppy.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Golden colour. A smooth and easy drinking best bitter. It does display that dusty, slightly earthy Goldings character. Bitterness is quite restrained but its not without grip, or interest. Decent baance of dry malt and hop. Pleasant enough without being a blockbuster.
