I stumbled upon this beer in one of the Tallinn’s pubs. I ordered Põhjala Põhja Konn - great beer, but once i tasted the Saltaire’s porter ordered by my friend, i couldn’t take my eyes off her glass.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Market Porter Borough Market. A dark brown coloured beer with a tight whitish head and lace. A great chocolatey nutty aroma which is welcoming from afar. Same in the mouth with especially good nuttiness and late on chocolatey coffee. A smooth very tasty beer.

Had this in a Tallinn hotel room. It is a really nice porter, and a surprise flavor wise as the ABV is so low. It tastes like fresh ground coffee with hazelnut in it. Not far away from the latte I have quite often in the morning before work. It goes down real easy and leaves you wanting more.

Bottle from Bier Huis. Pours Dark Brown with single finger white head. Aroma of Coffee, nuttiness, Chocolate. Initial taste of caramel, then toffee, then a load of coffee. Then on to dark fruits, and chocolate...then the hazlenut. Wonderful. Imagine Cadbury’s Fruit & Nut, just more Nut!

30th June 2010. On taop at the Kings Head freehouse Tollesbury, Essex. Clear brown beer. Not much head. Soft smooth palate. Sweet hazlenuts, red fruit in the undertone. Mellow chocolatey coffee. Some coconut as well. Finishes soft with some sweeter red fruit coming to the fore. An outstanding English draft beer - best I have had in a very very long time.

Almost light brown color, very interesting. Could’nt expect nothing but the taste was very good, impressive, has it’s unique taste at the very first second - taste of a good coffee, then some sweet caramel and hoppy ending. Although it evaporates quite quickly it still keeps it’s unique taste. Hazelnut reveals later, at least after 15-20 minutes of drinking.

Bottle @ home. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, mocca, toffee and something that want me to think it’s hazelnut. Flavour is roasty malty coffee, big lactose creamy coffee, mocca, caramel, toffee. Very nice. I like these fresh ground flavours!
