cask in one of the McSpoons in Sheffield. very pale for a porter, but true to form in flavour.slight burnt flavour, some degree of slightly sweet caramel, but led by coffee and edged with hazelnut (unsurprisingly). tastes a lot nicer than it sounds!

Bottle. BBE Oct 2017; Drank July 2017 - Clear dark brown in colour with a reddish tint. Good foamy off-white head. Nuts and coffee in the aroma. Very Malty; toasty malts, nuts, coffee, caramel, chocolate. Lightly hopped; grassy hops. Distinctly nutty. Sweet nutty and coffee malty throughout. Quite dry (because of the nuts). Very tasty for ABV. Liked it. (2017-07)

From 500ml bottle. Ruby brown with thin head. Not a particularly strong aroma. Taste of coffee very evident. Hazelnut sweetness gives way to bitter. Body is thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A rather bitter porter. Feels on the hoppy rather then malty side. The hazelnut and coffee is subtle adding a little complexity to the drink it comes off much stronger in the flavour. For me its appeared as bitter and a little soapy. Perfectly decent but I wont be returning.

50cl bottle at home from BeerRitz.co.uk. Body is clear deep amber brown, head is small, beige, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Nose is coffee, flavor is mild roasted coffee, hazelnut, dried fruits, light ash, chocolate. Medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Finish is long lasting roasty bitter, chocolate. Medium to full body, thin texture, average carbonation. Easy, tasty, great dessert beer.
