Bottled: Very clear golden red appearance - light carbonation. Mild aroma - malt dominates. Bitter foretaste followed by mild sweetness. Reasonable balance. Perfectly acceptable session bitter - nothing exceptional but absolutely fit for purpose.

Svesse (8578) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 5, 2017
(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 19 April 2017) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of apricots, orange peel and a touch of caramel. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, orange peel, toast, marmalade and a generous citric/earthy bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh and well made bitter. Nice one.

Cask at the Three Johns, 04/10/16. Golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is light orange peel, biscuit, tangerine, straw, light floral notes. Taste comprises sweet malts, caramel, bread dough, straw, light fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Adequate bitter if a touch sweet.

Scopey (14511) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2016
Cask at Three Johns. It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is toasty grain, wood, earth, porridge and bread. The taste is bitter - sweet, earthy, white bread, sweet fruity vibe, straw, white sugar, soap and mild astringency with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Fair.

3.9% cask handpull at The Ship & Mitre Liverpool. Clear dark gold lasting white head. Malty session bitter. A little sweaty on the aroma. Some malt no much hop. Ok. If a bit bland.

cluricaume (10) - FRANCE - MAR 30, 2016
Session bitter with a light bitter aftertaste. Paired nicely with a risotto. Nice malty taste. Little head. Pours a light golden colour. Too little depth and complexity for my liking. Good for a hot day I’d imagine.

BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2016
500ml bottle at home on 23rd Feb 2016. Poured slowly into an Abbot Ale badged glass tankard. Light amber/golden body, clear and clean: on top a full white head. Decent enough blend with neither the malts or hop dominating the nose or taste: some light fruitiness flavour wise and a mild bitter finish.

Zaskakujaco dobre piwo o bursztynowym kolorze i niskiej bialej pianie. Wyrazna goryczka kontrastuje ze slodkawym posmakiem owocow i karmelu.

johndoughty (5403) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2015
Bottle. Bronze and very clear. Slightly spicy with some bitterness. Plenty of body considering its relatively low strength.
