Golden in colour with a large head and lacing on the glass. Has a lovely raspberry aroma when pouring. Has a fairly bitter taste compared to the very sweet aroma. Tastes of hops and raspberrys and is quite refreshing. A nice summer drink. skortila (5798) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAY 18, 2015
Bottled. 25cl sample. The aroma has raspberry, some biscuit, some floral tones. Clear, golden coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is light bitter, has some sweetness, light fruity tones, some biscuit. Easy drinking ale, thin bodied. Good. spacecube (1705) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2015
500ml bottle, pours clear gold, very small bubbly head. Aroma is raspberries, sweet but not tart, over biscuity malts, floral hop, with a long bitter hoppy finish. Light medium body with a soft carbonation. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 2, 2010
Cask at the Rake, 28th April 2010. Clear orange with a line of head. Raspberry aroma. In the mouth, the sweet raspberries are balanced by a dry hop flavour. Definitely one for the sweeter toothed. Pretty quick finish. Overall a bit of a novelty beer but Saltaire have done a good job on something that could be hideous. harrisoni (18436) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2010
Cask gravity at Kent BF 2010. Lovely aroma of fresh raspberry doesn’t continue into the flavour where the fruit and the golden ale do battle for sweetness and dryness at the same time.

Mostly clear but slightly clouded yellow coloured ale, no head so looks a bit flat. It has a huge sweet raspberry aroma and this is obviously carried through to the taste, but not to the same extent, still it remains fruity. The most striking part of its character is its weak thin body. danlo (3019) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2014
500ml bottle. Clear orangey golden colour, white bubbly foam head and aroma of sweet syrupy raspberry. Taste is fruity raspberry mixed with biscuity malt plus some chalky dry bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonation, drying bitter finish. Quite OK. allmyvinyl (10495) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 15, 2014
500ml bottle from Booths. Pours clear golden orange, thin white head. Light raspberry aromas. Creamy sweet taste. Not bad. sdmmb (1826) - BELGIUM - JUN 9, 2014
Drunk from 500 cl bottle bought in Wakefield, UK. Pleasant contrast between the bitterness of the saltaire blonde beer and hint of raspberry flavour. Refreshing summer beer.

Pint from York pub, golden lion I think. Light amber ale with white frothy head. Reeks of raspberries, like the raspberry icecream syrup. Taste is same, nice amount of bitterness to offset the sweet. Bit of a shock at first, but it grew on me as the slurps piled up.
