Bottle from beerbods, opened and rested for 5 mins before drinking as recommended. Pours a large, lasting very foamy head, high apparent carbonation. Not much aroma, and not a great deal of taste either - inoffensive, more like a light bitter than a pale ale - not much of the promised frutiness coming through. Some soft bready malt and a soapy light bitter finish. Itís not awful, just a bit nothing-y, which is pretty bad in itís own way. MrTipple (4782) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2017
Grain and cereal malts, grassy, floral hops. Clear gold, tiny, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More bitter grass, floral hops, soft carbonation, light bodied. OK Golden Ale, nothing too spectacular. Cask at CBC Islington tasting - thanks to the unknown donor. The_Osprey (7881) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2017
April 2017 - Cask handpull at CBC Islington. As Saltaire South Island Pale. Golden orange, still with a bubbly white head. Aroma is airy and light, some biscuity sugars and faint fruit vibes that could equally be coming from a piece of fruit across the room. Airy and nothingy. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is straw, thin biscuity malts, watery squash with a light astringency in the finish. Saltaire can do a lot better than this. Bottle, pours clean clinical clear gold with small bubbly head. Aroma, dry grape, straw malts, light body, dry and long bitter finish. Enjoyable first pint. Not as hoppy as it could be. simontomlinson (335) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - MAR 5, 2017
Fluffy white head soon left a cover on a lightly effervescent, translucent, golden body.

Medium body crisp & sharp.
Tropical fruits, grapefruit, grassy & very long bitter finish. hohops (983) - Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2017
Bottle. Appearance- amber, fairly clear, pretty much no head. Aroma- fruity hops, malt, bread, lemon meringue pie, juicy fruit, hint of yeast. Taste- fizzy malt, soft hip bitterness, cardboard hints, citrus fruit undertones, juicy mouthfeel, crisp hoppy finish. AJL1980 (121) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2016
Bottle from keelham near Skipton. I didnít get a lot on the nose, it poured a bronze colour. Tastes coppery, harsh for its low percentage. Disappointed. Ktwse (4808) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 18, 2016
Pours clear amber with low white head. Aroma of bread, malt and light caramel. Taste is bland, slightly metallic, yuk. Body is light and smooth with average carbonation.
