Cask at JDW Knaresborough. Poured black with tan covering. I do like this. Strong chocolate and roasted malt aroma, hints of cocoa and bitterness, but the chocolate is fantastic. Very drinkable stuff this. HogTownHarry (6622) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - MAR 26, 2017
September 20, 2015 - at Craft (Clapham) - handpull cask. Thin-looking black with tan smallish head. Aroma is ... nestles quik, not much alcohol or bitterness, just ... chocolate/cocoa, maybe some chocolate liqueur in there. Taste is more the liqueur - "there’s pretty much nothing else here but chocolate - but it IS called chocoholic, and if you expected to taste anything OTHER than chocolate here you are stupid" - can’t argue with me. Slick, a little creamy, weakly carbonated, a little bitter in the aftertaste for some reason, but ... chocolate. Yeah. They hit their mark so good on them. kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 11, 2017
Bottle at Tierney’s Irish Bar, Haarlem. Clear dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is big chocolate, cocoa powder, roasty notes, vanilla and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation and a dry finish. john44 (3062) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2017

Cask @ The Paramount, Manchester - UK. Color: deep dark black beer with brown reflection, no carbonation and medium brown head. Smell: chocolate domination, sweet and dark malt with bread notes. Taste: light body with good roasted malt, cocoa nibs and chocolate, sweet and bread notes. Good attenuation. Aftertaste: sweet chocolate and roasted malt. OK.

Cask @ The Head of Steam. Durham. Dark almost black body with a mocha coloured head which lasts a short while. Roast chocolate beans on the nose. Medium mouthfeel, definite chocolate, tastes lightly sweet initially with a rounded dry stout finish with a burnt edge, but not overpowering like some stouts. sarauckelman (532) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2016
Very very very dark brown, with no head. Smells just like Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Starts off with bitter chocolate, goes into beer flavor, and then ends with a nice milky chocolate ice cream flavor without being unduly sweet. Full bodied. uckelman (790) - Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2016
Very dark brown. Ring of tan head. Smells like Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Medium-full body. Medium sweet. Odd bitterish flavor hits toward the end, more like cocoa powder.
This beer isn’t poorly put together, but is probably better for somebody other than me. Mishnok (285) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2016
From 500ml bottle. Pours dark, almost black. No head. Strong chocolate aroma. Taste is sweet with chocolate malts. Lives up to its name! Slight bitter aftertaste due the addition of Fuggle hops.
