Some malt and slightly fruity hope aroma. Crystal clear red, almost pinkish in colour. Thin head that disappears fairly fast, light-moderate carbonation. Tastes of malt, some crystal, slightly fruity and a dry, peppery finish. I find it fairly thin. A reasonable, fairly easy drinking beer but nothing outstanding. Sweet malt hop flavour with flowers. Clear red colour with fair head and lacing. Hop malt flavour with sweet flowers. Smooth palate. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 26, 2008
Golden-amber. Bright. Complex aroma with syrah, peach/pear cobbler, rich caramel and bready malts. Fairly lean body with subtle vinous notes. Might be a bit fizzy at the back, but a well-rounded, subtlely complex ale. enak (27) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 14, 2008
Lovely aromas of pineapple, ripe apple and blueberry. Pours an amber red with decent head. Taste was rather disappointing given the promising introduction. Bland but crisp, nothing more really.
Expecting more from this winery attachment. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 3, 2008
2007 vintage, special acquisition. Clear amber with white foam. Hoppy aroma that belies the shiraz. Some copper in nose and palate. Nice, crisp and clean and solid but lacking the special character it promises.

...well, I was rather surprised at this. I thought it was decent, and much better than I had expected. Nice color, and pretty complex with grape and fruit notes. I would drink this again someday. Worth trying. highlandlad (1480) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - FEB 4, 2008
I had high hopes for this shiraz-infused brew but sorry, I don’t get it. The concept may have legs but the balance is all wrong here. The end result seemed to me sickly sweet and a lot less than the sum of its parts. Looked fine - gold with a tawny hue and a fair head. The oversweet aroma was the first warning sign - intense dark fruits, crushed blackcurrants and a bit of leather. Spritzy mid-palate and an oily swallow. Good malt base but swamped by sweet Ribena notes. Mild bitterness and a big wash of sugars. Not awful but I have no idea when I would drink this. Bottle -- Pours deep amber with a quite generous but fairtly short lived off-white head. Citrussy hop aroma quite similar to an APA but lighter. Flavor is citrussy sour with a quite thin feel in the mouth. A bit watery for my tastes but good. TimE (5827) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 16, 2007
This ruby reddish-amber brew shows notes of cherries, brownies, caramel and milk chocolate. THe body is a bit too thin for my liking, but then I drank it in the middle of several high ABV beers. Light caramel finish. Will revisit on its own to confirm rating. Jarmby (25) - Lilydale, AUSTRALIA - DEC 10, 2007
Wonderful balance and fruity hops with stewed fruit flavours
A great beer
