Golden-amber. Bright. Complex aroma with syrah, peach/pear cobbler, rich caramel and bready malts. Fairly lean body with subtle vinous notes. Might be a bit fizzy at the back, but a well-rounded, subtlely complex ale.

I have to say this is the best beer I have had in Australia yet. Actually well crafted and full bodied. Not that fruity, so not sure about its designation, but a great brew.

Bottle - Pours a hazy amber with large tight head. Floral aroma, hint of peaches. Nicely balanced beer not too much carbonation. Malt falours come through first followed by a nice dry hop finish.

1st beer @ the warf in Darwin June 13th 2010. Unusual beer this one. Spicey & citrus hops & a bit sweet in the malt department. Suprise. Really good.

Davros (3231) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 1, 2010
Pours dark amber with a large quickly fading head. Nose shows lots of fruity hops: pineapple, mango and orange blossom are all noticeable. A fair bit of caramel, toasted and nutty malt shows as well. Flavours almost perfectly mirror the aroma - lots of light fruity hops with caramel, toasted and nutty malt following. Moderate carbonation suits the beer well.

Pours with nice head and a lovely rustic colour. Not a lot of aroma. But nice smooth taste. Almost a taste of white wine in this beer, not surprisingly as it is from Barossa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Loveley red coloured pour, with average white head. Spicy hoppy aromas, crisp linear bitterness with spritely hoppy tang, tough to really pick the shiraz in here, but overall very nice.

Surprisingly it doesn’t pour a beautiful crimson as you would expect a beer made with Shiraz juice, instead it’s a slightly darker shade of golden with a tightly packed white head. The aroma is nice, but doesnt show much Shiraz past a slightly vineous note, the main aroma is a big burst of fresh spicy hops and some light biscuit malt, it really smells good! Full enough body, smooth in the mouth... flavours of spicy hops, sweet malt and some grain, maybe a little unripe fruit note too. Finish is hoppy and delicious... Pepperjack gimmick aside, this is an extremely tasty and well made beer.

Bottle - Orange/red in colour. Good off white head. Fruity aroma. Low to medium carbonation. Medium body. Sweet, Caramel malts, and dark fruits (no doubt from the shiraz grapes). Hop flavours but only a very mild bitterness A slightly spicy finish. Different and quite pleasant.

Pours a clear red with a fair and lasting head - medium bodied with a nice smooth palate. Caramel, malt, fruits and hops. A very enjoyable beer.
