2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Came in a variety pack, so about time I try it. Pours a nice mild caramel color with and a little bit of head. Aroma is barleyish, kind of like steamed barley from a distance. Taste is not bad. A bit of toasty nuttiness and good malt presence, but it is really light and thin, but the flavor does linger some to round it out. Definitely not a bad beer, and by far the best light beer I’ve had (though that isn’t many) but not one I’ll buy outside a variety pack with better beers included.
From Apr 2008
This pours a clear gold with a 1 finger head of foam.
The smell is malty with some caramel and some grain.(corn) Not a bad nose for a light beer. It says 119 calories on the label.
The taste is pretty malty with some caramel sweetness and a slight bitterness that shows up mostly in the finish. Good taster this light beer though I'm not a fancier of light beers in general.

Very similar drop to the Boston Lager (just lighter). Malty aroma, slightly dry start with a bitter middle and finish with a malty after taste. Would drink it again if I had to beergearbox (147) - London, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2017

Decent light beer. Okay. solidfunk (9729) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - APR 18, 2017
Light rust and some bumper - almost like the aroma of a Volkswagen beetle from the 70s. Maroon pour. Bitter finish with astringent aftertaste. Bottle at Smithsonian movoe premier. crossovert (14128) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 26, 2016
355ml bottle. Consumed various times. This bottle is form work and I think they might have retired this one, they won’t sell it to us for catering purposes any more. Its a crappy light beer.

Claim they spent 2 years. Probably need to spend 2 more. Like a poor cousin to the Boston Lager - weak flavour, weak body. Only redeeming quality is the cleaner finish. mortsbrews (10) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2016
One of the nicest light beers I’ve had. Not sure where the hate comes from. Pours clean amber colour, frothy head. Gentle aroma and appropriate malt presence. rondphoto (4508) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - DEC 6, 2016
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- enjoy before Nov 2016 --- Aroma of clean malt. Clear bright amber brown color, off-white head that quickly recedes to a thin cover, a few lace spots. Taste is uncluttered malt, medium fizz, and light hops. Medium length finish. This is a clean malt-in-front brew that drinks easy and is light in the belly. As of now, it is a valid choice when "I just want to sit down with a beer." superspak (6208) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - NOV 18, 2016
12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 1/2017. Pours crystal clear golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/dry, fairly bready/grainy, and lightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Overall this is a nice light lager style. All around good robustness and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful with a nice mouthfeel for the low ABV; feels like a lighter version of Boston lager for the most part. A nicely enjoyable offering. Bottle. Amber in color, clear and poured with one finger of a frothy white head. Malty aroma with notes of caramel. A nice light beer.
