Draught at the Armory, Wandsworth, 23rd April 2011. Bright amber with not much of a head. A grassy nose then a good mix of hoppy flavours and biscuity malt. Nice dry finish. Very drinkable dry bitter. It ran out before I could get a second, so I had a Youngs Bitter; the contrast was obvious and flattering to the Sambrooks beer. 500ml bottle. Pours a vibrant orange with minimal head. Smooth, dry, citrusy tones dominate. Lemon, grapefruit and plenty of oranges in here. Low carbonation, goes down well. Good stuff. suprchunk (2994) - EffOff, Florida, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Hazy pinkish-coppery colored pour. Large eggshell head that slowly falls and leaves splotches of lacing behind. A sweet tea aroma, with hops, malt. Nice big bready, malty flavor. Way more malt than I thought would be there. And a low ABV beer with this much to boot. Subtly sweet with just a hint of hops and hop bitterness. Finishes clean and smooth. Very good beer. Wish there was more in the nose, but the taste definitely makes up for it. I’ll be searching out more from these guys. fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2011
