Bottle: Light reddish-amber coloured, almost clear, creamy and stable off-White head; caramelly and fruity nose; light bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, as well; more bitterness detectable in the all in all dark-malty and fruity finish. Nothing wrong with it, just a bit boring...

Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Hazy amber brown with an off white foam. Aromas are toffee and oranges with floral, yeasty notes. Nutty black tea with hints of melon. Lightly spiced with autumn fruit. Flavours are weetabix malts with green apple and a clean, herbal, leafy character. Spicy with lemony yeast and a nutty, tea finish. Nice.

(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Slightly ashy malty aroma with notes of caramel, accompanied by slightly grassy and subtle fruity hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly roasted malty taste with notes of caramel, bread crusts and ashes, combined with lighter spicy and slightly grassy hoppy accents; bitter-sweet and slightly roasted malty finish with spicy and delicately fruity hops. Unspectacular but likeable. 16.IV.14
