Cask @ Gallows Bird Real Ale Festval 2014

Pours amber colored with a small head. Aroma of bready malts, grass and hints of apricot. Taste is smooth, malty and fruity with hints of berries. Finish is smooth and malty. Decent.

(Cask at Pineapple, London) A fruity and hoppy bitter. That’s something you seldom get. I liked this beer. The fruitiness and maltiness were nicely balanced and bitterness wiped both flavours away quite nicely. Bitterness didn’t last too long so the next sip brought all the other flavours back again.

A Mes rate. Cask at the Bree Louise.
Slightly hazy amber colour with a good off white head and plenty of lace. A very pleasant bitter indeed. Slight straw, hay and pig farm. Excellent earthy malt with some hints of burnt sugar. Just the right amount of floral hoppage to balance it all out really well. Finish is so well balanced it almost feels a little dull but it lasts long enough to regain my interest. Good stuff.

Pours out of the bottle in a deep golden / light amber colour with low head and flat body. Aroma of dark hops and malt. Taste of hops, barley, malt, leaves, caramel and nuts. Bitter-medium dry finish. Nice and smooth to drink, not a bad one.

HogTownHarry (6823) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 27, 2012
Handpull at The Harp (Chandos). Clear copper-amber decent frothy off-white frothy head. Herbal and slightly sour fruit aroma, a bit of alcohol. Taste follows, more intense bitterness. Slick, decent body, weak carbonation, dry oddly acidic tart finish. Not bad.

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours a light toffee colour with a nicely proportioned head. The nose has apples, toffee and ginger. The taste is of creamy toffee and butterscotch. The palate is medium bodied and rich textured with a decent finish.

Nice one. Hops with some malt, barley and even some fruity moments. Drinkable, bit thin and watery end. Nothing special, but an ok one.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2012 Cask at the Bree Louise, Euston. Copper with a thin cream coloured head that laced the glass well; rich malty aroma with some red fruits and butterscotch; full bodied with a fruity and spicy taste - reminds me of spiced plums; lightly hopped finish. Very drinkable. (January 2010 - 6/3/6/3/13=3.1)

50cl bottle from the brewery. Copper with no head; red fruit aroma; solid malty taste with light dry finish. Still very drinkable. (June 2012 - 6/3/6/3/13=3.2)
