Cask at The White Lion, Covent Garden London dec 2012. Dark amber/brown beer with a tanned medium lacy head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Spicy and hoppy flavour. Too much spicies, kills the beer. cgarvieuk (24156) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 28, 2012
cask at haymarket ... brown ... small tan head ... soft roast ... dark fruit malts ... bitter burnt chocolater roast rlgk (18847) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 28, 2012
Cask at The White Lion, Coventry Garden, London. Somewhat hazy amber beer with an ok beige head. Malty toffee aroma, yeasty, bready, dough, chocolate notes. Chocolate flavor, yeasty, dough, not very clean flavor, I don’t wanna finish this beer. DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2012
Cask handpull, The Shakespeare, Birmingham. Ruby with a thinning beige crown. Immediately weird mulled spruce and cranberry notes; sucking on a burnt twig; dark choc orange. Nose roasted nut and orange. Bit saline again. Very thinly dusted. Lacks roast, body, poetry, whatever. Boring.

Cask conditioned at The Eagle & Child, Oxford. Chestnut with no head. Really tricky to pick out what was wrong with this, it was flowery, perfumed, it tasted a little like boiled clove, spicy, raw and bitter. Not very pleasant.

Cask at the Haymarket bar. Dark amber with an off-white head. Spicy malt aroma with a touch of dark fruit. Flavour is caramel malt with a pepper/spice edge. Tastes a little bit dusty too. Not bad.
