COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular. Also available bottled.
We brew Wandle Ale using traditional methods and materials sourced locally from English producers. We are proud to use Maris Otter malt from Warminster Maltings, one of the few remaining floor maltings in the country. We use a combination of traditional Fuggles and Goldings hops varieties, together with the more modern Boadicea hedgerow variety to flavour our beers. All of the hops used in the brewing process are whole leaf which give Wandle its distinctive hoppy taste and aroma. At 3.8% abv Wandle Ale is a well balanced thirst quenching session ale.

Pours clear amber with low white head. Aroma of rye, light caramel. Taste is sweet up front with a mild bitter finish. Light, smooth body with average carbonation.

Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2016
Cask at The Knights Templar (JDW), London. Pours mid-amber with a small, off-white head that laces the glass well. The aroma is muted but does suggest soft bready malts and berries. The taste is very sweet and full of almost sickly caramel, banoffee and melon flavours. Far too sweet.

danielyabu (1708) - União da Vitória, BRAZIL - FEB 16, 2016
White frothy average head. Good lacing. Fully diminishing. Clear thick amber body. Aroma: moderate hoppy, light malt, wort, dried banana. Initial flavor: light bitter sweet. Final flavor: moderate bitter (hoppy) light sweet (fruity). Palate: medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation, metallic finish. Very refreshing. Doesnt taste like Bitter, being more similar to a Pale Ale. Slight presence of wort in the mouthfeel appears as flar. 30s gbp1.6

500ml Flasche in London. Helle Bernsteinfarbe mit cremigem und stabilem Schaum. Wenig Aroma. Etwas Nussig. Sehr kräuteriger Antrunk. Dann bitteres Röstmalz. Hopfen und Kurzer bitterer Abgang. Kein schlechtes Bier.

Bottle from Beduth TossCo of all places. Expected twigs got pleasant dull caramel on biscuit with washy hedgerow and Bramley fruit. Aroma of gentle clove spice, wholemeal biscuit and plum. Pours brassy amber with an evanescent scum of head. functional tawny brown bitter with a rinse of noncommittal fruit. And a background stir of twig, admittedly.
