We brew Wandle Ale using traditional methods and materials sourced locally from English producers. We are proud to use Maris Otter malt from Warminster Maltings, one of the few remaining floor maltings in the country. We use a combination of traditional Fuggles and Goldings hops varieties, together with the more modern Boadicea hedgerow variety to flavour our beers. All of the hops used in the brewing process are whole leaf which give Wandle its distinctive hoppy taste and aroma. At 3.8% abv Wandle Ale is a well balanced thirst quenching session ale.

50cl bottle (4,2% ABV) from Varnaveien mineralvann. Pours deep golden with a white head. Aroma is lightly malty with caramel, fruits and some hops. Hint of green apples too. A bit weak in flavour, almost reminds me of flavourful lager. Sweet and grainy with notes of caramel and a pretty light bitterness in the finish. Fairly easy to drink, but quite boring.

Cask at the Crutched Friar. A classic English bitter with a deep dark colour in the glass and a malty, yet nicely bitter flavour. It was a bit of a wamr day for a beer like this, but still ok. Good, but didnt set the taste buds dancing.

TEJA (3010) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 31, 2017
Small creamy off white head. Almost clear solid golden color. A splendid very fruity hop taste. Not much bitterness. The aroma is small compared to the big taste with some fruit and a tuch of mint!

Bottle, 500ml. A cloudy golden colour with almost no head. A somewhat musty hop aroma with fresh orange notes. Flavour has slightly bitter citrus, orange peel, some musty hop coming through. A little watery inn the finish. Not bad for the low ABV.

Oro con schiuma evanescente, al naso erbacea. al palato base maltata ma apprezzabile amarezza, finisce breve. corpo medio, poco carbonata. molto inglese questa bitter.

Bottle, Marks and Spencer, Enderby. Hazy golden with a thin head. Caramel and bready malts with apple. Mellow lemon bitterness. Dusty yeast. Hints of herbal honey lozenge. Leafy bitterness.

ianwelby (1367) - SCOTLAND - OCT 27, 2016
Clear amber bitter, white head. Light, hop smell. Flavour is quite mild. Some light citrus, biscuit, malt. Touch watery. A decent if fairly standard bitter.

Cask at drafthouse. Amber color. Characteristic British alr yeast aroma with malt. Soft, smooth palate from the cask. Malt, flowers, some nutmeg surprisingly. Good session ale.

jmgreenuk (9300) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - OCT 2, 2016
Gravity cask at the Land Rover Beer Festival 2016. Poured a very slightly hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is woody hop, light citrus. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a smooth light, fresh, malt, light citrus, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
