Draft @ BCTC. Pours a bright, hazy, golden-orange-amber color; creamy off-white head with excellent fine-bubbled lacing and retention. Lots of candy sugar, passion fruit, and sweetness in the aroma; singular. Medium mouthfeel: sweet candy sugar, apples, and basic sweet maltiness; bland, one-dimensional, and too sweet. Very disappointing. Medium finish: candy sugar, candy; again, lots of lasting sweetness throughout. BeerandBlues2 (13323) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 15, 2008
8th Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywines. Pours hazy orange with an average, frothy, off-white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, hay, straw), average hops (herbs, grass), average yeast (barnyard, earth) with notes of banana, apple, and pear. Full bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness and bitterness, moderate acidity. stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 24, 2007
On Draft at the brewery with the Mad_Indian. Thanks to our tour Guide Andy who really hooked us up. Pours cloudy golden with a large white head. Aroma of bananas, spices, cloves, and alcohol. The flavor is smooth, banana, spices, cloves, with a nice lighlty bitter alcohol kick. excellent. MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 23, 2007
Sampled with Stegosaurus at Sam Adams. Andy our tour guide was kind enough to give us a sneak when we told him we were from rate beer. He said this is only used for shows and beer fests and unfortanelty will not be bottled. What A shame as it is incredible. Cloudy pour with medium head. Banna, wheat and spice aroma. Good wheat and yeast taste. Smooth finish. Really great. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

opaque dark yellow, frothy head, huge sweet banana aroma, nice sweet banan flavor but a bit of a letdown after the huge aroma, light clove and bitterness in the finish,
Aroma: 8/10; Appearance: 6/10; Flavor: 7/10; Palate: 7/10; Overall: 15/20
I would like to rerate this beer.
(Tap.)Very good, wheat beer. Nice, decent head. I love this beer. I reccomend it to anyone who like a weizen. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - FEB 5, 2005
Sampled at the 2005 EBF: Pours a hazy cloudy dark copper with a frothy off-white head. Rich yeasty, esthery aroma with nice sweet wheaty balance. Tart wheaty and complex body with a little too much acidity. Nice authenticity though and a good beer from Sam Adams. I don’t know why they don’t make this in bigger batches and bottle it, but perhaps there isn’t much of a market for it. tiggmtl (4545) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 1, 2005
Pears, peaches, bananas, and wheat with a whiff of alcohol in the aroma. Opaque orange- brown with thin white head that recedes to ring. Intensely sweet fruit flavours with some wheat bite and a light sourness compounding the bitterness in the finish. Light refreshing body with engaging carbonation that prickles the tongue. Odd, interesting and not at all what I was expecting. Sampled at the Extreme Beer Festival 2005. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 31, 2005
Draft, EBF: Cloudy orange. Strong cookie paste aroma mixes into a fruit salad and honey candies to propose a moderately sweet and juicy mixture. Strong biscuity malt though not in a helles manner. Elegant wheat chunks bring german claims that are quickly overtaken by peppery belgian yeast. Powdery melon and fruits bring some depth into this unpredictable baker’s choice. Superb dessert beer, highly carbonated, foamy and texture. Totally untraditional and as experimental as it gets. Excellent. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 30, 2005
Sample at XBF:
Peach cream and an alcohol waft from a banana daiquiri. Enticing if not linear.
A predominantly sweet and fat malt body proffers peaches, alcohol and a canned fruit salad syrup. Ending is very bitter, carbonation and sweetness are puzzling for the style.
