COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Alpine Spring is yet another addition to the brewery’s Small Batch series. For this entry, Sammy & Co used the more traditional labeling. Starting in late October, you’ll see the first of the Small Batch hit the market – Tasman Red, Third Voyage, Griffin’s Bow, The Vixen. (Vixen just won GABF gold.) This unfiltered lager is perfect for spring. Noble Tettnang hops, grown in the foothills of the Alps, give the brew a bright citrus and floral aroma flavor. These are balanced by the slightly sweet crisp notes of two-row pale and honey malts. Cheers! Note - LCBO beer called Samuel Adams Spring Lager is the same product as this

12 oz. bottle - Pours a hazy golden color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is lemon and herbal hops. flavor is much of the same with the addition of some malt sweetness. Light to medium body. A very nice and easy drinking beer. Be great for those hot Summer days.

TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 15, 2012
yellow orange, mostly clear, little to no head, some light white lace. Nose is lightly fruity and hoppy, pear, apple, lime, lemon. Light honey, malt, sweetness, light bitterness. Medium bodied. A little plastic-y but not too terrible.

emacgee (4704) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Pours hazy straw yellow with one finger of white head. Nose is vegetal and unpleasant, honey malt was a bad idea in my opinion. Grassy and lightly citrusy nose with some bready notes and dough. Soft and mellow flavor with lots of bread and dough coming through. Grassy with notes of wet hay and lightly spicy with a hint of citrus zest. Medium body with a soft round carbonation.

tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Draft hazy yellow pour with minimal white head. Very nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma is a mild wheat yet hoppy goodness. The flavor is of hops piny and citrus. Mild body and flavor yet refreshing.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bright yellow color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint citrus, bread and perfumey hops. The flavor was sour and tangy lemon with touches of bread and perfume. Short tangy citrus and perfume finish. Light body. Disappointing.

two pints at a local bar. very hazy and bright yellow. aromas are noble grassy, lemon zest. Thaste is light sweet grain. average palate. pretty dam refreshing. Would have been better if I had tried this when it was warmer out.

Suttree (6484) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Orange-ish, maybe a little cloudy, and a decent sized white head. Crackery, toasty aroma, with some grassy notes. Flavor is a little bit of caramel, toasty, some subtle spicy notes - like cinnamon and coriander - and a grassy, dryish finish.

Somewhat hazy golden straw pour with ring of white head. Sweet light citrusy and floral bright hop profile with a surprisingly sweet finish. Pretty tasty for a style that I’m not to particularly familiar with.
