Samuel Adams Alpine Spring is yet another addition to the brewerys Small Batch series. For this entry, Sammy & Co used the more traditional labeling. Starting in late October, youll see the first of the Small Batch hit the market Tasman Red, Third Voyage, Griffins Bow, The Vixen. (Vixen just won GABF gold.) This unfiltered lager is perfect for spring. Noble Tettnang hops, grown in the foothills of the Alps, give the brew a bright citrus and floral aroma flavor. These are balanced by the slightly sweet crisp notes of two-row pale and honey malts. Cheers! Note - LCBO beer called Samuel Adams Spring Lager is the same product as this

Slightly hazy yellow-orange color, small white head. Grainy, a bit citrusy and perfumic aroma. Light bodied, crisp. Some fruity notes, grain, lemongrass. A bit similar to some German kellerbiers.

Cloudy dark straw with a thick, slightly rocky head. The aroma is yeasty and fresh with light bready pale malts. The taste is lime-accented with slightly doughy, bready notes. Not bad. Could probably use more dryness to pull the yeast and malt elements together more.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a finger of white foam. A touch of spicy hops with just a hint of citrus. Decently floral as well. A lot of yeast contributions, notably pepper and maybe even a hint of banana. Bready malt makes up the rest. The flavor is a bit bland. It has a strange lemony note on the finish as well. Some notes of floral and spicy hops and maybe some bread/malt flavors.
