12 oz. bottle. AROMA: Scents of mostly caramel and a bit of banana. APPEARANCE: Pours a clear, light-orange amber with a small, white head that dissipates quickly. TASTE: Lightly sweet with a slight bitterness on the back end. Flavor of caramel and a bit of spice. PALATE: Medium-bodied with a slightly sticky texture. Soft carbonation and a short, bitter-sweet finish rounds things out. OVERALL: Just average in almost every way possible. Definitely not one of their best beers, but it's not one of their worst either. dlihcsnatas (857) - Temple, Texas, USA - FEB 21, 2018
Light Amber with small fast fading head. Smells and tastes of caramel along with some toffee notes. This is about like candy, sweet but not overly sweet, just like a caramel candy put into beer form. beer_rookie (735) - Arkansas, USA - FEB 2, 2018
Pours a bronze color. Two finger ivory head. Poor retention, light lacing if you swirl, otherwise none. Pretty good carbonation. Very clear.Bacchus66 (1162) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 24, 2018
Aroma is malty. Caramel, light nuttiness.
Taste is malty sweet. No bitterness. Caramel. Light nuttiness.
Mouthfeel is medium light bodied. Kinda oily. Finishes clean. Hard believe this has alcohol.
Overall, it’s okay. Not great. Drinkable but seems like it’s a filler. It’s not one I would buy on its own.
12oz bottle @ home from the Winter Pack. Clear bright orange amber with a thin off white head. Caramel, toast, toffee, malt, lightly hopped, smooth sweet finish. Another eater below likens this to a sweet Boston Lager and I tend to agree. markas101 (2563) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JAN 11, 2018
Bottle, Ann Arbor, MI. Amber, metallic caramel aroma. Sweet, though not overly. Toffee and spice. Mellow finish.

Not a bad Sam Adam's...just not their best. A little caramel, a slight bit yeasty, nothing outstanding. tapefuzz (1026) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 31, 2017
12oz bottle. Pours mahogany with a medium off-white head. Aroma is caramel, toast, and yeast. Taste is sweet - like a sweeter Boston Lager. Caramel, toffee, metal, toast, and yeast [maybe 5.5/10]. Unpleasant finish of yeast and light artificial sweetener. Light-medium body. Medium carbonation. Off-crisp mouthfeel. Larry_Duffman (645) - - DEC 27, 2017
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2018 This is a re-rate. I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours a light amber with an off-white head. It's sweet with caramel malt, toast, and herbal hops. There's light carbonation. It's smooth. It's a bit too sweet and a little thin.
This is okay. BlackBeerPG (1065) - Darien, Illinois, USA - DEC 25, 2017
Bold snap, crisp semi sweet caramel malt finish. Same with the nose. Amber hue, clear, with big foam head, lattice of lace. Medium to med/full body. Kinda cider notes too. Pershing (607) - Garland, Texas, USA - DEC 24, 2017
Clear amber with lots of carbonation. Cardboard aroma with a light body and a tart taste. Thin bland finish. Lacking a proper commercial description. Looks like they didn't give this beer much thought...just a filler for the variety pack.
