Samuel Adams New World Tripel: Pale gold in color, this ale is big, flavorful and complex. A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.

A very good tripel. Pours a very nice clear orange with a bright white head. Smells of citrus, mostly lemon, and a little bit of vanilla and strawberry. Taste is a little different, mostly vanilla and tropical fruit, and a tiny bit of lemon. Boozy aftertaste. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bomber at mermaid juice. thanks to maverick for the shares. okay. this was okay - its my least favorite of the series that ive had so far. i get it - its exactly what it says on the bottle. i cant tell if the reviews are good because people really like it or if people are just surprised that sam adams made this. hmm....

Bottle, shared with Parksy and others. Hazy bright orange pour, with lovely sweet fruity aroma, yeasty and wheaty (not sure whether wheat is in here, but it was in the nose). Moderately estery palate, fairly sweet without being cloying, apricots and melon. Not the biggest fan of tripels, but I enjoyed this one.

Appearance: Orange-gold with a huge white head. Aroma: Malt, andy sugar, orange peel and spice. Flavor: Dried fruit, malt and yeast. Palate: Full bodied but not syrupy and aggressively carbonated. Overall: A well constructed Tripel, though not particularly complex.

This wasnt as good as I was expecting. A dry finish and a very light palate with too strong of a spice character.

Its weird Sammy usually puts out good stuff. I dont get this? What were they going for? The alcohol is too overwhelming and takes away from the spices that are the trademark of all Sammy brews. I love brews, but with this it is almost like youre drinking a cocktail! And the crazy thing is I drank a brew from the Ska. Brewing Co. with the same ABV and it was much more refreshing! I say "Pan This!"

How many characters does one need for "eh?" Underwhelming tripel with nice appearance but fails to deliver on taste. Thin.
