Samuel Adams New World Tripel: Pale gold in color, this ale is big, flavorful and complex. A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.

Bottle. Pours a deep, lively cheddar orange and a healthy white head. Nose is barn-musted fruitbread and sweet biscuit with light cheddar bits. Flavor is sweetened black pepper, light fruit, biscuit, and musty white cheddar. Lingering mouthfeel. Not bad, but to dry for my taste.

Copper in color. Head is a thick and foamy that does not disappear. The side of the glass is coated with head. Beautiful. The aroma consist of pine trees. There is a slight grapefruit aroma. Rhubarb taste. Salty. There is definitely citrus taste. Somewhat of a creamy texture with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied beer with average carbonation. For a sam adams very good.

750 ml. cool barrel bottle- Pours hazy golden with a beautiful fluffy white three finger head that slowly reduces, but never goes away. Aroma is very floral, hops, yeasty, moderately fruity. Taste is creamy, followed by a mild alcoholic burn, floral and fruity. Body is medium and carbonation is high. I really liked this, comparable with the best authentic Tripel’s of Belgium.

Draft to snifter (thanks tmoney99). Looks good; a hazy orange with white lacing. Smells solid; dough, tart citrus, and oak. Tastes like is smells with an average mouthfeel. A nice beer.

Clear golden color with lasting white head. Nice dry hay, dry spice, herbal, yeasty aromas. Light body with average co2. Straw, dry spice, wood, aged pale malt flavors--good

Clear yellow-gold with a big, lasting, cream colored head. Aroma of pineapple, bread, spice, banana, and flowers. Taste is fruity and yeasty; a little sweet and slightly bitter; actually the worst element of this beer. Medium bodied and a little dry with a slight sting of alcohol. Decent tripel for sure, though I wish I was getting more barrel.

Pours a slightly cloudy, straw gold with a wispy white head. Aroma is sweet, tropical fruits, a little yeast. Flavor is sweet, bananas, tropical fruits, some pineapple, a little honey, herbs. Very little oak. Dry finish

Tap - very big thick head, medium gold color, Belgian yeast spice/coriander aroma and flavor - not bad by any means, but did expect it to be a little better

Clear golden color with a thick, snowy head. The nose and palate are consistently big with cloves, bananas and tropical fruit. Full bodied Tripel with a lively carbonated mouthfeel. Some alcoholic heat shows on the long finish.

Aroma is dominated by fruits, cloves and strong pineapple notes. Shiny copper in color with a massive white foam top. Well carbonated with flavors of hops, herb, butter, massive citrus and some spices. Nice complexity with a great balance and a big boozey finish. Overall, very well done and full-flavored with a pleasant herby hop. Strong spice and alcohol on the finish. I’d give this an A rating.
