Very nice Schwarzbier. Poured into a glass at just below room temp.
Head dissipated fairly quickly, with just a fine lacing on the side. Pleasant smell of roastiness followed by excellent roasty flavour with hints of chocolate. Plenty of complexity and still a smooth drinker. A very good candidate for a session beer, imho. beergearbox (58) - London, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 14, 2017
Here's to Samuel Adams, equal to none.

Oooh, a new style yay! It pours slightly opaque black with a thin head. The aroma is cocoa powder and smokiness. The taste is more chocolatey than smoky and it has a pleasant smooth palate. Overall pretty decent and a nice change of pace in a variety pack. Good for hanging out with the family, playing fun party games, and watching a particularly deranged Nathan for You.

An enjoyable light but roasty beer. Smooth, medium body. Super tasty and drinkable.

Not what I expected. When I saw the word Shwarzbier I was expecting a bitter coffee soy sauce taste like Guinness stout, but it's actually light, sweet and drinkable.
Taste of toast and malt and slight taste of chocolate.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2017 Bottle. It poured a cola color with a beige head that disipated quickly. The aroma is light cocoa with some smokiness. The tastes has a minimal amount of sweetness to it. Very drinkable. 05barnold (44) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 8, 2017
Poured from the bottle. Thin white head. Black in color. Aroma is the only disappointment in this beer. Deep flavors that don't fill you up. I would definitely purchase and drink again.

Clean beer. Some chocolate and coffee with a mild bitter finish. Mix pack fodder but pretty tasty. bigcat03 (334) - Columbus, Nebraska, USA - SEP 2, 2017
Deep Brown color with a small beige head. Caramel, roasted malt, vanilla in the aroma. Initial taste is bold and roasty with a hint of vanilla. Aftertaste has hints of coffee. Body is a smooth medium and carbonation is lively. The first Sam Adams in a sample pack that I've enjoyed in with a while!
