A coffee colored black lager with low head. Aroma is caramel, malt, bisquit?, coffee. Taste is bitter. Japalo (1887) - DENMARK - MAY 26, 2015
Bottle @home. Black. One finger foam. Roasted toffee notes. Smooth milk like mouthfeel. Slight sharp malty bitterness. Fine brew. Feels filling. aumentm (750) - North Carolina, USA - MAY 18, 2015
Very dark beer that is smooth and has a real roast flavor to it. It is pretty malty and dark. CousinBrenden (131) - St Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 9, 2015
Medium to mild roast flavor, not deep. I get the description thing. Mild roast flavors and somewhat watery. Lager like black ale yes. Nothing real memorable. soeren_rousing (6) - - FEB 28, 2015 does not count
En flyvsk øl der er svær at holde i glasset når den varme brise suser på vinterens sidste dag.
En røget smag. En kraftfuld udgave af Rehfvindinges Skibsøl.

Poured from bottle, deep dark brown with light beige head. Aroma is full, with notes of caramel, coffee, fudge and some herbs. Taste is sweet with a slight bitterness, a rather light body and a nice bitter sweet after taste. Notes of coffee, some chocolate, liquorice and herbs. konungen (657) - - FEB 21, 2015
Mörkbrun nästan svart öl med mörkbeige skumkrona. Doft/smak: sötma, rostad malt, kaffe, choklad, karamell och viss rökighet. Mer än ok! Flaska från Systembolaget.

Copenhagen 6/12 2014. 35,5 cl bottle from Fakta. Pours very dark brown with beige head. Dissipates to thin lacing after a few minutes. Aroma is sweet with hints of chocolate and a little nut. Medium carbonation. Taste is not that intense - but rather light. Follows the nose. Mostly sweetness and roasted malts. Almost no bitterness. A little disappointing for a fan of Mr. Adams.

Pours a dark cola-brown with tinges of deep red and purple. Has a medium khaki head that leaves nice, sticky lacing. Deep roasted chocolate and caramel in the smell, with notes of coffee. Also smoky, with a peppery spiciness, like a well-done steak or pork roast. Taste carries on the smokiness, with roasted malts bordering on burnt. A light hoppiness also makes its presence known in the back half of the swallow, along with a burnt bitterness that hits after the swallow. Also catching some sweet prunes. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Not bad, but not particularly well-balanced. There are a lot of flavors in there that seem to compete with one another. Milter (1166) - Nyborg, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2015
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2017 En god traditionel lager. Dejlig mørk med en dyb karakter. Absolut værd at drikke.
