Reviewed from notes. This was on tap and poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice gentle dark red color with a thin half finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than about forty seconds leaving a nice slightly foamy clingy lacing. The aroma had a nice nutty to caramel smell that was fairly enticing and rich. The taste was moderately sweet but still had a nice roasted nuttiness about it. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable aspect about it. Also, theres a nice rich creamy sort of feel running over my tongue. Overall, this was a pretty good Irish Red ale well worthy of having again. I think it would be beneficial to Sam Adams if they started bottling this one.

Tap at Union Oyster House. Very little aroma but lots of malt in the flavor with some caramel and sweet for the style. This style doesnt have much to offer but this beer does it better than most.

Pours a clear copper with a thick buff head that leaves generous lacing. Malty aroma has notes of caramel and cloves. Spice - cloves and a little cinnamon - dominate the flavor, but let through malty and caramel notes. Texture is about average, but still acceptable. Get your brick on with a good red ale!

At Logan Airport. Almost no aroma, some malt. dark red, firm head. Taste is malty with tingling sweetness. Dont know if badly made or just horrible beer style but this one was almost hard to finish.

Pours a cola brown color with a heavy malt smell. Taste is full of malt and a tinge of sweet molasses. Taste is bready, with a mild earthy flavor. happy I tried this beer while at the Cheers Restaurant in Boston.

Nice red, copper color. Little to no head. Nicely balanced beer: more sweet that bitter in my opinion but nice refreshing middle of the road red.

Some stringy lace from nearly a non-existent head; Deep ruby color and absolutely clear. Mild smell--virtually nothing. What I can detect is very neutral. Far more bitter than I expected. Good malt flavor which means its well-balanced. The aftertaste is short lived. Full bodied with a proper level of carbonation. Overall, a decent Red.
