Draught at Cheers in Boston. This is a simple straightforward ale without much going for it.

9/17/2011. On tap in Boston. Copper to red-brown color with a tan head. The aromas show caramel, malt, bitter hops and spices. Medium carbonation with caramel flavors. Finishes with light hops.

ScipioA (405) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 13, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 14, 2013 Draft pour, nice calm beer at the Warren in Charlestown. Dark maroon with minimal head and great lacing. Not much of an aroma, what is there is malt. Tasty though, sweet malts with a dry bitter finish. Good after ambling around the neighborhood, and I’m sure pours of this here at the Warren and all along the Freedom Trail have refreshed legions of tourists over the years.

Draught@Joe’s, Boston. Copper color, off-white head. Nutty, even smoky aroma. Smooth, nutty flavor with a hoppy finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. Nice.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2013
Location: Draft at Doyle’s, 7/9/13

Aroma: The nose is caramel and fruit with some hop notes as well
Appearance: Dark caramel-reddish color, clear and clean, with a beige head, and mid-plus lace
Flavor: It has a medium sweet flavor, some clean hop notes, and a mild bitterness
Palate: It has a medium body, a nice, creamy feel on the mouth, and a soft carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought that this was a pretty tasty red. It came off as a bit more sweet than hoppy, but it stays fairly close to balanced.

Decent red ale, nothing to write home about, pretty amber color, small head, smooth and cold

rondphoto (4439) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUN 27, 2013
Clear ruby copper color, light head cover, broad stripes of lace. Taste is fizzy caramel malt that grows a little through the palate, adding a bit of bittering at the finish. Slightly oily texture diminishes from the experience. Too similar to many Sam Adams offerings.

boto (2211) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Draught @ Doyles: This one pours a crystal clear coppery color. There is a decent off-white head that left lots of lacing. Nice nose. Caramel malts, a subdued sweetness. Some spicy, earthy hops and a touch of pine. The taste is good. Very clean, well balanced, malty. Slightly dry, bitter finish. Nice.
