Pours a deep amber almost red with a decent sized tan head that shows great retention. Smells of malty caramel and toffee with just enough earthy floral hops to make it a Sam Adams beer. The taste is a little sweet and a bit malty with a great Irish Red caramel feel to it. Spicy earthy hops provide some balance to the sweetness. Medium body with a moderate to spirited level of carbonation and a sweet malty mouthfeel. This is a nice Irish Red with a bit of a kick in the hops. My biggest issue with this beer is how is this a red? Flavor it tastes like a super malty amber
Pours a deep amber brick color with small off white
Nose is soft and malty. Flavor is very malty and a little sandy...hops are completely drowned out
nicely.carbonated.but a little grainy in the mouthfeel department

On tap at Tap and mallet. Deep amber pour,small off white head with some lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and a touch of roast,very sweet ,caramel ,toffee even some fruit.. faint bitterness in the finish. A little thin ,good carbonation. Decent but not exciting. Tap. pours a clear brownish red. Mellow malt flavors with some light hops. Decent but unremarkable.

Had this on tap at the Harp in Boston on St. Pat’s Day. Typical red ale, starts malty but finishes with some hop bitterness. Quality beer and an easy drinker, but not really special.
