5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
The first beer I ever had. The Boston Lager is almost dark enough to be an amber, and just as tasty. I didn't want to give this beer a perfect rating, but upon drinking my first since joining this site, I had no choice. Boston Lager is a multifaceted beer, from the first whiff to the first taste to the final swig. Rich, creamy, bitter, yet perfectly balanced on the tongue. If I had to drink one beer for the rest of my life, this would be it.
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2017 One of my favorite beers. Malty sweetness up front, with a hoppy bitterness at the end that isn't overly done. Well balanced. Kudos to Jim Koch! dzenkalpic (86) - TURKEY - NOV 14, 2017
Rengi ambere kayıyor. Kokusu lager biradan çok ale gibi. Üzüm ihtiva eden tadı orta asitlikte ve metalik. Güzel bir aroma değil. beergearbox (94) - London, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 7, 2017

This was once consider the standard for craft beer, which shows just how far we've come. Still a very smooth drinkable lager, but it lacks complexity and doesn't have anything of particular note that differentiates it. Still a go to for most sporting events that don't have any REAL craft beer. eruizgarcia (359) - - NOV 3, 2017
For a seemingly rather simple lager, this is very good. Malty and smooth, just a hint of bitterness. Refreshing.

the first one I tried was pretty good, but, then I tried another and things became more clear.
too much hops and not much flavor. not really a beer taste as much as a fermented taste.

This is a decent beer. Nice color and fine aroma with a good bitter flavor. junkyarddawg (12) - Georgia, USA - OCT 21, 2017
Amber color. Grassy smell. Caramel, sweet flavour with a traditional bitter kick. Gets mote bitter as it warms. Better than the average mass produced American Lager. hitemwitthehein (20) - - OCT 17, 2017

.Appearance: Golden amber, white head.
.Aroma: Grassy, floral hops, bread, malt.
.Taste: Malt sweetness upfront balanced by a slight hop bitterness.
.Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium carbonation.
.No need to complicate it, this is a balanced beer. A staple. A go to. A drink one and grab another type of beer. Very enjoyable. Fisler (692) - Bamberg, GERMANY - OCT 6, 2017
Schönes Kupfer im Glas, in der Nase Malzig, im Trunk ebenso, Karamell, süß, Malz, brotig, ganz leicht bitter. Süffig, aber mir etwas zu gefällig. Trotzdem kein schlechtes Bier.
