Nice amber color, hoppy aroma and a sweet caramel flavor make this one of my favorite beers by Sam. Thick offwhite head and stick to the glass foam that always beckons for another. Jmacatiag (76) - , California, USA - JUL 14, 2010
It pours in a dark amber color with a nice lacy white head and has a sweet aroma but it was hard to smell it over the rest of the food around me. BWW isn’t the best place to judge a brew but it had to do. The flavor was pretty nicely balanced as the bitterness of the hops was sort of offset by the sweet malts. Overall it’s a very simple beer. There’s nothing that’ll surprise you or really impress you. This is one of the better of what I call the regular brews which are the ones you see regularly at supermarkets or restaurants. It’s not disappointing but it doesn’t really shine either. Drink if you like but you aren’t missing out on anything special. fauxpunker (76) - Florence, Kentucky, USA - SEP 24, 2012
Bottle, tap. Nice coppery color. Not much head. Can smell the hops, though not overpowering. The hops do show through in the flavor as well giving the beer a nice touch of bitterness and leaving you knowing you drank something more than water with yellow food coloring added. Aroma cítrico, um pouco adocicado. Cor dourada, pouca espuma e bastante bolhas, que permanecem subindo por toda degustação. Amargor na medida certa e retrogosto frutado. Deliciosa, uma das melhores Lagers que já provei.

Bottle: Has an amber colour. Aroma is bready. A nice domestic premium lager, but aftertaste left something for me to desire.

Boring yet not gross. Part of me would take a PBR any day to this stuff but if you have been handed one you can’t really object. Mostly malt with some fruit or other "outside" favors detectable. Would never purchase of my own accord. twistedviews (75) - California, USA - AUG 5, 2009
this is a classic, sweet, hoppy, kickass beer! anyone who does not like this beer must be out of there minds!! sfhc21 (74) - Midlothian, Texas, USA - APR 27, 2007
Bottle. Different from your typical lager. Had many times before, but finally had one last night and decided to rate it. This beer gets better with time, meaning the more you drink it the more you get used to it. Not great, but okay. aaronhaywood (74) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 17, 2009
Much better than most American lagers I’ve had. A lot more color to it as well. I am very happy with this beer. Very nice hop and malt balance. A sweeter taste without all that rice and corn filler. Also a bit creamier than most lagers. ryananderson (74) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2005
Aroma is mostly of hops with some light bread. The large white frothy head produces good lacing and is mostly lasting. Colour is medium orange. This lager is flavourful with moderate bitterness. Medium bodied.
