3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
I was feeling patriotic on the 4th so a got a pack of this (it was also on sale, so theres that too)... Has a bit of a macro smell too it, but really nice biscuit hop flavor with a surprisingly creamy palate for a beer of its type. Does a beer get more session than this? I feel like a could drink the whole 6 pack in one sitting. Well, its certaintly not a big deal in the craft beer world anymore, but for me its still valuable because its one of the three main "Thank God!" beers. This is referring to when your at a stadium, lame bar, chain restaurant, airport, or dingy gas station and all you see are crap macros and shitty crafts like leinenkugels, but then you see a boston lager, snpa, or a fat tire you let out an inner ’Thank God!, that was close". Until there is a stone ipa level go to beer in every establishment, we should always be thankful for boston lager.
It smells great, the aroma of hops bursts into the nose. The head was thick and milky. It’s a burnt golden color with a clear body. As much as I love the brewer, I don’t like this beer. The amount of hops is like drinking an IPA, but I ordered a lager. The flavor profile is good, just not what I want when I’m not drinking an IPA. balloonbuffoon (325) - - JUL 20, 2017
16floz can bought for $1.50 (BBD: 10.2017). Here goes with the big micro craft beer review (cough, cough...fake craft when such a brewery also puts out Mike’s Hard Lemonade, hard soda, and hard seltzer water and such...beer snob cap off). It looks good in my imperial nonic glass, goldenya amber adorned with a luscious whitish head. Smell is pretty decent too, hop powder and grain dust. I am probably underrating because of bias as it is an okay beer. It is very drinkable, balanced, and unexceptional beer. It may be my perception, but I think this beer used to accentuate the malt bill more. Instead a dry herb flavor seems to mask the gritty, biscuit grains that used to dominant (my perception). wilde_joost59 (97) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2017

330 ml bottle. Clear amber beer with average, quickly vanishing white head. The aroma is full of floral, spicy hops. Taste medium sweet, malty bread, medium bitter. Medium body. Light bitter finish.

Copper color, with medium/thick pillowy head. Aroma/Taste: Roasted malts, mild hops, almonds, chestnuts and toffee. Thick and chewy on the palate. The perfect transition beer to wean off macro lagers. saintbase (681) - Bydgoszcz, POLAND - MAY 30, 2017
